Outlander: Of Lost Things (2017)
Breathtakingly Beautiful!
Yep.. first episode this season that had me in tears. Happy tears.. sad tears.. all kinds of tears. I didn't feel Claire (or Bree or Roger) in this episode. It's all Jamie-William-LJG-Isobel-Geneva. Sam, David, Hannah, and Tanya.. all have hit the ball out of the park. All of them, just WONDERFUL.
And a nice surprise bringing back Hal in this episode. Although, I don't think Hal would give away any important info (such as Jamie is a Traitor to the crown.. and that he let him go anyway) with a few drinks. I don't believe that's Hal.
And from the moment Jamie held baby William in his arms to the end of the episode, it was a sob fest. All kinds of tears streaming down my cheeks. Last week Matt gave his best episode, yet. This week, Toni has given not only her best episode, but the BEST episode of the series, yet. Oh.. what would Outlander TV series be without Toni and Matt.
There's little to nothing of Claire this episode. Just like the previous two. I had expected there would more. But, I get it. Helwater is the priority.. and I'm all for Helwater.
And LJG!! I'm really loving LJG on the show. I didn't like it in the books that Jamie kissed LJG, but I so, so wanted him to give him a kiss in this episode.. but that didn't happen. Disappointed!
Geneva - Ah! She's an absolute beauty. And Hannah James acting was just.. wow! How perfect was she as Geneva!
Isobel - So, they've given Lady Dunsany role to Isobel. And I liked it. She's sweet. I really liked her.
Jamie & William - No words. Just the feels. They are the most breathtakingly beautiful thing this season, yet.
And that concludes my views of this episode. The Best Episode of the series, yet.
Outlander: The Battle Joined (2017)
"Everything's NOT going to be fine, Frank"
The first 10-15 min of that episode was just epic. And I absolutely loved Black Jack and Jamie's final encounter. A fitting end - as both of them fall in an embrace. And the haunting music in background was perfect.
Frank and Claire scenes: I was bit skeptical of these scenes. But I really enjoyed them. Really great acting from both Tobias and Caitriona.
I have to be honest, I've always considered Tobias to be in a different league altogether when it comes to acting. Far superior to Sam. But in this episode, I felt like Sam marched right into Tobias' league. He is the real MVP of this episode. Almost no lines and the majority of his screen time was laying down, but he brought such physical and emotional pain that he didn't even need to say anything. The gasping breaths, the glazed looks, the subtle expressions - it's the best work he's ever done.
Overall, a great episode. Loved the ending. Just when they (Frank and Claire) think everything's going to be fine.. The nurse goes "Where'd she get the red hair?" And Frank was like "Everything's not going to be fine".
Westworld: The Bicameral Mind (2016)
"These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends"
WTF just happened!? That was ONE EPIC SH*T!! An EPIC Hour-and-a-Half Masterpiece.
Didn't see any of it coming.
Jonathan Nolan, one of the masters in storytelling, outdid himself and made a masterpiece out of his Creation, Westworld.
The series is PERFECTLY setup for the future seasons. Eagerly waiting for 2018 to come sooner and bring Season 2 of this Fantastic Series.
One final thing before I conclude: This show is THE BEST SHOW ON TV. Other shows don't even come close to the excellence of this one. Outstanding acting, screenplay, editing, background score, cinematography, and whatnot. Just WOW!!
Thank You.
Westworld: Trompe L'Oeil (2016)
"And in that Sleep, what Dreams may come"
OK!! That episode was literally MIND-BLOWING!!
This episode is by far the Best episode of Westworld. And from what I hear, the final three episodes of this season are going to be even better.
The plot twist in the final moments of the episode was theorized by fans, but to see it play out the way it did is just mind-blowing.
I love the way the show is building up to something VERY BIG, and I can't wait to find out what it is.
Right from the episode 1, the screenplay, the editing and everything about the show was done very masterfully to keep us guessing 'What The Hell is going on?' Typical NOLAN thing, I'd say.
Thank You.
Suicide Squad (2016)
Absolutely Crazy, and I LOVED it.
What had I just watched? One of the craziest comic book movie ever, yes. I most certainly did.
This movie totally made sense including the humor part. Marvel movies doesn't make sense on that very part. Everyone's fighting, people are dying, and Marvel hero fights villains while cracking jokes. Totally not cool. Here, in Suicide Squad, we got a bunch of bad guys who don't give a *beep* about what happens to people or anyone, fights the villain cracking jokes, just like Avengers, but it is cool, because they're bad guys and that's what they do.
What's so crazy and cool about this movie is that it made me (probably all audience) cheer for the bad guys, for doing bad things, and sometimes good things, too. I totally loved that experience, and for that alone I forgive all the flaws the movie had.
I particularly loved Harley Quinn and Deadshot.
Don't miss it, for you'll be missing an absolutely crazy experience, which you will love if you watch it with open mind.
Game of Thrones: Battle of the Bastards (2016)
Excellent, Epic, Masterpiece and whatnot
That's one of the most finest hours in Television ever. In fact, the finest hour in Television ever. Opening with Danaerys Stormborn slaughtering the Sons Of Harpy, who were attacking Mereen, and closing with Sansa Stark's triumph smile after defeating and killing Ramsay Bolton and taken back Winterfell. Kit Harrington portrayal of Jon Snow was top notch. Jon Snow seemed a bit different, the way he bashed Ramsay's face in the end was unexpected; guess it's the effect of resurrection. Sad to see Rickon die, but the way Ramsay played Jon Snow using Rickon was brilliant; as much as I hate Ramsay, had to give him that, brilliant plan, almost ended the battle before it ever begun. And as expected, in the end Peter Baelish came to the rescue, with the army of Vale. The Giant fell, but only after preventing a siege of Winterfell, by breaking the gate. Loved the closing, Sansa Stark triumphantly smiling as she walked out of the cell which was holding Ramsay's corpse, or maybe not, he's eaten alive by his own hounds.
Thank You.
