Finally a breath of fresh air!!!
27 June 2013
Like everyone else I was apprehensive about watching this one mainly for the lack of powerful star cast but after hearing many positive reviews I went to see the movie and I'm glad I did. I gave it a 10/10 because firstly it does what hardly any other bollywood film has done lately i.e. present real, flawed characters with whom you can connect and empathize. While most of the other films have heroes who can make 20 bodies fly in the air with their slightest of touches, this film has a more genuine hero. A common man who looks like sh*t and is madly in love with a girl for 10 years. The main USP of the film is its dialogues. The dialogues of Murari (dhanush's friend) will make you jump from your seat and fill the theater with whistles and claps. The first part of the movie is a warm story of persistence and love and is full of vigor and energy. Dhanush plays the role easily with charm and flair. The second part of the movie is about a man searching for redemption and may not be as funny or vigorous but is still heart warming and intense. So watch it for the excellent performances by the actors, for the best dialogues that u'll ever hear in a Hindi movie and for the refreshing and original story that is hardly portrayed by bollywood

Da Vinci's Demons (2013–2015)

Enjoyable pilot of a very promising and fun show.
17 April 2013
I read some of the reviews of this show on IMDb and i have to say i wasn't pleased. I don't get why people didn't like the pilot episode. I mean shows like arrow and spartacus have a rating of 8.7 whereas this show only got a mere 8. To me the pilot seemed pretty good. The lead character had enough depth in him to make him likable. His mysterious past, quick witty answers and knack for getting into troubles will make the show even more enjoyable as it progresses. What I loved about the show was the background music which is one of the best I've heard on TV. I also liked how they created florence considering its budget it seemed a decent job. For those who are complaining about historical inaccuracies then let me tell you most of the shows on TV are historically inaccurate eg. spartacus. If you want historical accuracy you can turn to documentaries, there are dozen available on da vinci.and for those of you who can't see him in a sword fight why can't a genius, who can work with both of his hands can't be a swordsman. i mean if sherlock can beat the hell out of everyone in a fist fight(in the movie) why can't da vinci fight. In short it seems like a promising show with secret socities, conspiracies and many twists to come and i'm looking forward to the next episode
