Terror in the Woods: I'm Looking at a (Bleeping) Werewolf/It Was Trying to Kill Me (2021)
Werewolf? Drove 22 miles and ran the 22 back?!
Dude drives 22 miles to Prospect Park outside of NOLA, waits an hour for a no-show date, plays basketball til midnight, then goes to a liquor store and encounters a werewolf/rougaru and runs home and hides/falls asleep. He ran the 22 miles home? Yeah, right. After a 4 hour basketball game, I don't think he'd be running anywhere.
The Big Bear story is also pretty suspicious. Of course the locals may not be the friendliest towards outsiders or tourists, but it's also just the storyteller's interpretation. Also, she uses recycled cliches and phrases like "negative presence" and every time, she squints her eyes for effect. And she saw a pentagram in firewood? Gullible and openly susceptible to anything anyone tells her. Stay out of the woods.
Sasquatch Odyssey: The Hunt for Bigfoot (1999)
Extensive Archival Footage and Interviews Make This a MUST BUY!!
This is by far my favorite Bigfoot documentary of all time. It is about Bigfoot, sure, but centers around the "Four Horsemen" and their quest finding proof of the creature. Rene Dahinden, John Green, Grover Krantz, and Peter Byrne are all interviewed extensively with incredible archival footage of their pursuits, many rare and never seen before, and there's a lot of it! There's an excellent historical overview of popular Bigfoot reports as well. This is a must for anyone interested in the subject, new or veteran, and is worth every penny. It also includes interviews with Robert Pyle, Lapseritis, and even laymen giving their opinions on the subject.
Favorite parts? Archival footage is extensive and incredible. Also, everything Rene Dahinden says, especially about Lapseritis.
