Maybe its time to stop remaking this movie. Its just another drawn out story. Its mainly the emotional component of human beings facing their end. So far there have many numerous hopeful events only to be shattered by the aliens who of course are just human looking. The earthlings do little to protect themselves and the French soldiers have limited skills and apparently lack the ability to build defensive positions. No one ever bars a door or gathers supplies. The acting is very good, the science can be fascinating but there is so little of it. Again its the human drama side of the story and told here. Curious how this will end.
