The usual story told a bit unusual way. The usual story is that rich people are s**theads. The unusual way is showing this with lots of dark humour and humiliation.
Ok I admit is was very good to laugh a good at the expense of the "elite" and the influencers that can't enjoy anything (as they always have to think about taking the next picture). But there are no big relevations here, a lot of money never makes anyone contempt or less dull but most of the people knew it already. I would welcome at least one morally ok charcter as a counterpoint...
The most hilarious part of the film is when the american communist captain is arguing with the russian capitalist entrepreneur. Both Harrelson and Zlatko Buric are giving here top notch performances and this is the funniest and most thought provoking part of the movie. (The most unexpected is that these two could be good friends...) I would see more of these two. Instead we got an exceedingly long start and and ending without climax. (And the message at the final part that no matter who is on top will necessarily be exploitative is a bit dumb.)
It was an ok satire, but it didn't invent anything new. We laughed a good, disgusted a bit, now we can move on.
