Tim and Eric Nite Live (2007–2008)
10/10
Brilliance
29 September 2008
Tim & Eric are hands down the two funniest guys on TV, maybe even breathing. I hate to say this but it does take a certain kind of sense of humor to get this, and the best way to do it is to imagine if David Lynch directed Saturday Night Live, on acid. I know that sounds crazy but somehow it all works beautifully, it really does. This was a webisode series on the web, a one time only, and it's basically a take on Letterman, Leno and all the other late night talk shows, but again, if it were directed by an inebriated David Lynch. The most consistently funny show, along with their regular series. The show is basically presented as a sort of work in progress and the "mistakes that occur on the set nightly are both extremely hysterical and sometimes uncomfortably realistic. It's anarchy done with care and precision and with a timing unseen in quite some time.

Wow! What a Major Disappointment!

How Finn made the wonderfully underrated Cherish and the criminally under seen Dream with Fishes and then make this garbage is beyond me. All these actors are great in other work, but here, boy oh boy, terrible, just terrible. Arquette was the only actor in the whole movie that drew any kind of sympathy. The rest were directed by, what ultimately feels like, a hack director, and Finn is no hack, so I'm left feeling confused and angry. What a major let down. One other thing, the soundtrack, although very good songs, most did not work here. Which again is surprising, because Finn seems to be involved in that world, but here he seems to be lost in the wilderness. Heck, the last song by Jim Carroll "People Who Died" was used as the ending credit sequence for the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" which also features Ty Burrell!! That's two movies he appears in that features that song in the credit sequence!!! How unoriginal!

Extremely underrated!
12 April 2007
This is such a great undiscovered gem and an even better buddy film. Gould (at the peak of his powers and fame) and Sutherland(also at his peak) are so dang great together, it's such a shame they didn't become the Crosby & Hope of the 70's. Can you imagine a better pairing than these two? No I didn't think so. This film is so much fun, it's got tons of laughs, a GREAT car chase sequence, great supporting performances by all, and a fun lighthearted feel to it. Sure the plot is thin and it gets a tad confusing, but believe me, that does not matter! This is pure fun from the opening tune (Cheesy great title song) and fun titles to the very last scene of the two heroes walking off into the sunset, side by side. BLISS!

Come On!!!!!!!
11 December 2006
I don't get some of the negative reviews for this film, this is a B picture, but even more importantly, this is a Charlie Bronson B picture. Come on, the main reason you are watching this is film is for the Bronson and believe me he's tearing it up left and right. Sure there are some flaws and some questionable acts, but that's part of the fun. This is J. Lee Thompson and Bronson in prime 80's mode. You also have the magnificent John Glover (52 Pickup, Robocop 2) and the Oscar winner Jose Ferer adding some good acting juice to the violent fun. Don't look into this film for deep meaning and pathos, which is fine in other films, instead look for some intense graphic violence brought to you by Sir Charles Bronson, thee Man. Warning! There is one scene in this movie that is so unbelievably painful, it will make you think twice about ever crossing The Bronson.
