The Wall (2016– )
8/10
Fun Game Show
22 February 2017
It is great to see game shows make somewhat of a comeback. After putting up with over a decade of reality shows, it is nice to see something that is quick paced and fun, and the people on the show actually have morals.

The Wall is a game that does require some skill in answering questions because some of the questions are challenging to say the least. Chris Hardwick comes across as a nice guy who really wants the contestants to do well.

The game itself is kind of interesting because the dropping of the game balls turns it into a game of chance more than anything. That being said, it is fun to watch and there are several opportunities to make big money. My entire household enjoys this show.

Bigfoot (2012 TV Movie)
4/10
Typical SyFY Fare
14 July 2014
Yet another SyFY instant Tragedy. I am convinced that SyFy intentionally makes really bad Science Fiction films knowing that they are so bad, you can't help but love them for their cheesiness. Bigfoot is your typical SyFy channel fare meaning you will immediately laugh and realize the movie is awful, yet in all likelihood you will watch the entire movie while you take a half-snooze on your couch.

This film, while terrible does have a few decent moments. Danny Bonaduce is well-known from his days on The Partridge Family and it is hard not to like him. His acting is actually decent on the film. In addition, it does seem like our friend the Sasquatch (also known as Bigfoot) has never been more popular. There are several shows on television currently in search of the elusive Bigfoot, so this film is actually timely in a sort of a funny way.

This may also hold a little interest for those of you who grew up listening to hard rock, Alice Cooper (who still records and is still a great live act). I read an interview where Cooper, who has also done a little bit of acting for some horror films, stated he was in the area doing a legitimate concert and was asked if he would shoot a cameo for a SyFy film. Cooper, apparently didn't even know what the film originally was about, and wasn't given a script until the day he was filming. Alice is actually quite good in his cameo and his scene is hilarious.

No one's IQ is going to go up watching this film, but like most SyFy Channel films, you know what you are getting and as stupid as most of their films are, they also can be quite fun.

Renegade (1992–1997)
9/10
A Fun Series Worth Revisiting
24 February 2014
I used to love watching Renegade on late night television in the 90's. Renegade starring Lorenzo Lamas, Branscombe Richmond, and Kathleen Kimont (Seasons 1-4) was a show about an innocent cop named Reno Raines, who was forced to go on the run when he turned over evidence regarding some crook cops in Bay City, California (Bay City doesn't actually exist in real life).

After being captured by talented and brash bounty hunter, Bobby Sixkiller, Bobby soon realizes Reno is innocent and Reno is hired by Sixkiller to take down many fugitives on the run. During this time, Reno with the help of Sixkiller and his half-sister, Cheyenne tries to clear his innocent name.

The show is fun and action paced, and it is fun watching Lamas show his real-life extensive knowledge of martial arts throughout the series. The show contains funny dialogue at times, but some of the story lines are downright compelling.

The show also features its creator, Stephen J.Cannell, in a recurring role is number one bad guy and dirty cop, Dutch Dixon. Cannell is a surprisingly good actor and has the uncanny ability to tick you off with his smugness.

Most fans will also grow to love the character of Bobby Sixkiller. While Sixkiller definitely loves money, he has a heart of gold and often sticks his neck out for his friend, Reno Raines.

The first three seasons of Renegade are especially good. The fourth season is more of a mixed bag with some episodes really good, while some episodes seem to focus more on the silly. By the middle of the fourth season, we no longer see Kathleen Kimont on the show at all. Her character was featured heavily the first season of Renegade and then she began appearing less and less (In truth, Kimont was married to Lamas but got a divorce after the first season. Her role began to lessen from that point forward).

The fifth season of Renegade showed a show running out of ideas. The story lines were less compelling though it still had its moments. The first four seasons of Renegade were syndicated through hundreds of stations and the fifth season became exclusive to the USA Network. It was a surprise when USA cancelled Renegade after the fifth season because though the show was starting to show its age, it definitely had another season or two left in.

I cringe when people claim this show was cheesy. It did have some elements of that, but the show was a good watch and fun. In a day and age of nothing but CSI shows and reality television, it is nice to actually be able to watch something that is just flat out fun.

Finding Bigfoot (2011– )
8/10
A Fun Series
1 February 2012
This is just a fun show that is getting far too harsh reviews. There is no actual proof that Bigfoot exists, but it can't be entirely disproved either. It requires a suspension of disbelief. The interaction between the people on the show is fun and I enjoy seeing Ranae frustrate the men who are all staunch believers. It is interesting to hear the stories by the crowd of alleged sightings and the techniques used to try and prove the existence of Bigfoot. The episodes, more or less, are all the same but it is a fun, entertaining show and does ask the question "What If?"

It is also hilarious to hear Matt, the leader, claim everything is evidence that Bigfoot exists. I think we all need to realize that there are still many undiscovered species of animal and though Bigfoot is probably far reaching, we all need to have a stronger sense of imagination in our lives.
