The last 5 minutes had me in tears. Kelli Williams was amazing. I think the premise of the show should be re written around her character and story. She is far more compelling. Her storyline. Her ability to emote. The little stuttering she does. Her acting ability has deepened since her days in Lie To Me. I love that the show displays her same ability in this show. She shows such temperament and depth of grief. I couldn't help but weep. I'm not talking about a few tears. I was full on crying. The show can have the current lead disappear. The rest of the team can come together and look for her on the side.

I don't know why I kept watching this...
9 October 2022
I thought this was going to be a good movie. An edge of your seat movie. Yo, I was so wrong. I am a huge fan of Rosario Dawson, which is why I stayed past the first 20 minutes. This movie is a hot mess. It is all over the place. The longer it goes the more tangled it becomes. The idea of the story could have been done better if someone knew how to write and edit. The movie has great actors but the pieces of the story make little to no sense. You will be left feeling very empty. You will be wondering what the hell happened? Throughout the movie you will not know who to care about. As till the end, you are left with NO ONE TO CARE ABOUT. Absolutely no one.

Visually it takes you places you've always wanted to go. The twists and turns in what you know is to come is Epic. This Episode is a Stand Out story. Seth Macfarlane is a Genius.
Strange But True

This movie was a lot...

Warning: Spoilers
A lot and not in a good way. It was disgusting to tell the truth. The deception. The wishful thinking. Just get lost in your grief and your emotions. Don't test that people tell you. And this is what you get.
A teenager dies too young. A young woman doesn't know up from down. A brother left behind doesn't know how to get thru his grief. A father just plain gives up. A mother tries, in her own way, to move on. An old woman is blinded by years. An old man gives in to his sickness.
It ends blindly.

Sensitive. Immersive.
22 December 2021
I never write movie reviews here or any place. This one, I had to. I can't remember when I saw such a sensitive movie. From the trailer you really aren't given an idea of where it is going. Mr. Ali is a moving and sensitive vehicle for this beautiful story. Miss Harris makes a perfect paring with Mr. Ali. I loved the calmness of Miss Close's character. I rarely give 10 stars. I was not disappointed in the direction of the story or its ending. Immersive.

Could Have Been So Much Better
22 January 2020
This series focuses on the wrong things. The characters have boring backstories or none at all. The villian is lame as hell. Ruby Rose is beautiful and seems to be better than this series. I want to care but I just don't. I don't care about sexuality. That's useless in advancing the non existent storyline. Such a failure. I can't watch any more. It makes me sad. Some of the scenes make no sense. Basically the writing sucks. It's lame as Supergirl. Does not deserve to be in the same universe as The Flash, DX Legends, and Black Lightening.

Racism mixed in with a little love

Wow. 200lb mother fighting for her baby. Say that to a white actress, I don't think so. Delilah's pancake recipe but she only owns 20%. This movie is not worth my time. It's just sad. Sad sad sad. Peola feeling like she pas to pass. Hating her beautiful black self.
If I believed in evolution this would be scary

Warning: Spoilers
Kind of unbelievable. Old white guy lies on young white kid who's never been in trouble. Suddenly he's a bad influence. Yeah right. I find the premise to be ridiculous. No boundaries. And why is this movie producer kid driving a piece of cap.

Points For DeHaviland and Scenery Only
22 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Beautiful scenery. DeHaviland is a legend. But the idea of Mimieux being a child in the mind is ridiculous. She's more like a simple minded teen. The idea of what the character's mother is going to allow is horrifying. Very few reviews address this. Pregnancy. Children. Running a household. What the mother does is criminal, in my opinion. Hamilton's character is obviously an idiot. Perhaps that is why he is written to not notice Mimieux's character is supposed to be a child of 10 mentally. Oh, the fashion is devine.

It Makes You Hurt!
4 February 2019
I was a young child when this movie came out. A startling portrait of an alcoholic by Van Dyke. One of the most moving performances I've ever seen. Period. He makes you believe in his recovery. You become his cheerleader. Tears of joy at his triumph. Then the morning comes. You hurt. You cry real tears. You feel his loss.
