Parkour (2009)
Netter Versuch
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
Unforgettable!
This is one of those movies, you can´t watch without being unable to get it out of your mind for weeks, for months, maybe for years. It tells the story of mainly four different characters, who are in touch with drug consumption. Each one of them in a different way. It begins so innocent and harmless but the further the story is told, the more dramatically it gets. You see the manifold ways of getting addicted and the momentous fates, that comes with the addiction. The four main characters are in contact with each other, they love each other, but the drug consumption devides them more and more until total isolation. It´s a movie full of hope and power and with an end that is so sad and disturbing, that you won´t forget soon... Very well done!
Undead (2003)
Has to receive no negative reviews!
This is definitely one of my favourite movies!
People who are not into splatter and gore shouldn't vote for this one at all, because the genre in itself is controversial. But if you are a fan of zombie/splatter movies you definitely have to love this one.
It is the first and unfortunately only film made by the Spierig-Brothers and I wonder how anyone could have made better. It is funny, exciting and excessively brutal. Characters like the outlaw, that lives in the forest and knows surprisingly a lot about zombies, the forthcoming alien invasion and the relationship between them and weapons like his three-barrel-pump-gun are highly creative inventions. The special effects are well done. The fighting scenes are very dynamic and refreshing...
I saw this one first on a film-festival and when I watched the people leaving the cinema, everyone went out like a soldier, determined to defend at whatever it costs against everything that isn't human.
Best zombie movie since BRAINDEAD in 1992!!
Bowfinger (1999)
Can anyone tell me what exactly is FUNNY in bowfinger?
Maybe it´s just a question of sense of humor, but I can´t understand, how anyone can say this movie is really funny. Okay, the storie, that Bowfinger tries to make a movie with low costs and without the knowledge of Kit Ramsey being the main star, is in itself a little bit funny, but I remember not a single scene which made me laugh.
For example Heather Grahams role: After she switched her lovers the first time it was obvious what she would do next.. I don´t want to say, that the movie is bad, but it´s certainly NOT a masterpiece and not even close as funny as "Analyze this", "Showtime", "Naked Gun" or "The Guru of Sex" just to name a few.
Nekromantik 2 (1991)
It bored me to death
After being quite dissapointed in watching NEKROMANTIK 1, I gave Budgereit one more try by watching the second part of his stupid necro-drama. It´s even worse! It was so boring, that even a fly that comes across my sight would have been more interesting. The Plot could have been told in 15 Minutes. The Actors are as stupid as the whole movie itself. The music was getting so intensely on my nerves, that I nearly decided to watch the movie without sound. (Additonally I wouldn´t have missed much, because the dialogs are absolutely needless and explain nothing). The only "highlight" is the scene in the end, when Monika cuts off Marks head while having sex and replaces it with Roberts head. But this single scene doesn´t compensate more than 100 minutes of gaping boredem mixed with cheap thrills. That´s what NEKROMANTIK 2 is all about.
If you´re looking for gore you´d better check out some of Peter Jacksons early movies...
