Boxing Day (2021)
2/10
Dull writing, characters and about as Christmassy as a rock
6 December 2021
Don't be fooled by this being called Boxing Day or being set at Christmas, it's got all the festive feeling of Halloween 3!! Walked out after 30 minutes. Didn't have high hopes but this film managed to miss those already low expectations. Writing is weak and you don't care a single bit for any of the characters because of this. Wooden performances don't help either. One of those projects where the writer/actor/director are the same person so it's a proper vanity project with zero quality control because they're doing it all. The plot is basically a series of contrived misunderstandings and implausible unexplained events you could see coming a mile away which did nothing to further the film in the 30 minutes I sat through and that's why I left. Actually went for a burger and ended up being sick 6 hours later that night but that was still a preferable outcome to watching this film till the end. Stick to Love Actually if you are in need of some British festive fun.

Boring, not scary, dull. Yawn.
6 February 2020
I caught this on a movie channel late one night and having enjoyed the VHS films figured I'd give it a shot. I regret this choice and never really post reviews here but I am keen to help you avoid a similar fate. There is no segment I watched in this movie which scared or entertained me in any way. With apologies to the directors and people involved as I'm sure it was not their intent to bore me senseless this was quite possibly one of the worst and least scary horrors I've ever watched. I fell asleep, woke up, turned the movie off and went to bed where I had pleasant and untroubled dreams. Avoid at all costs. It's not even worth watching ironically or just to see how bad it it. Take my word for it please!

Trainwreck (2015)
1/10
Unfunny, unoriginal, unbelievably boring.
23 August 2015
No spoilers here, there's no plot to spoil and not big amazing scenes or reveals to discuss. Suffice to Trainwreck is a huge waste of time and talent. It should not have been such a bad film but it's beyond terrible. The humour is weak and practically every joke misses the mark. Lebron James is the best thing in the movie - he's the only saving grace. Judd Apatow needs to learn how to edit a comedy down to a short, sharp 1hr 30min as well. I shouldn't be sitting in a comedy wondering if I've missed a week of my life because it feels like the movie has gone on forever. I should have learnt my lesson after This is 40! I am sure fans of Amy Schumer will lap it up but if you're not one then steer clear.
