Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (2021)
I question the people that rate this so highly
Okay, so this show started off really promising, I enjoy fantasy anime alot. I liked the concept, the world they are in and the idea of him leveling up in magic and swordsmanship. I was looking forward to see where this would go but then it just got really inappropriate. How can you ignore the fact he is a grown 35 year old man in a kids body wanting to bed and kiss kids at 10....it's sooo creepy. It makes sense him lusting over grown women because technically his still an adult. He constantly mentions his age so he shouldn't in anyway feel comfortable trying to sleep and kiss girls at 10! It's just too twisted and I couldn't finish watching it. I feel like this anime was written for people who shouldn't be around children..
The Devil's Hour (2022)
4 episodes would have been perfect! Good watch
The first couple of episodes had me completely hooked, I'm not good with spooky stuff but it was gripping and I was really invested to see where it go....but after episode 3 it started to drag a little. Maybe I'm just impatient, but I believe if they had wrapped it up in four episodes, it would have had a greater impact.
It was moving too slowly from episode 4 and I was becoming disinterested. By the end, I didn't have that "omg I can't believe that just happened" reaction. I was like hurry up and explain what's going on already lol However, the acting was excellent. Isaac was incredible! I wonder how many takes he had to do keeping that straight face throughout.
The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself (2022)
The bloods are so weak
The first couple of episodes were really good, and I was eager to see where the story would go. However, after that, I found it dragged on and at times became a little predictable. I just didn't understand why the clashes between the Fairborn and bloods seemed to be so one-sided. The Fairborns have huge training facilities so that they can prepare for battle with these "superior" enemies and yet they simply destroy them every time, lol. I mean, the Bloods had a French witch who supposedly had many powers passed down through generations and I was thinking she's about to kick some ass but she died instantly.... That fight scene should have been so much better or at least showing the bloods putting up a fight, but they just got slaughtered by guns which they knew were coming! I just didn't get any impression that the bloods were stronger. They both seemed to have the same level of witch abilities but the Fairborn's had guns as an advantage. Should have been done better in my opinion. Overall, it was all right.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Why were all the curtains left open at night lol
I liked the characters, and it got off to a good start. I was intrigued to see what would happen next, but just when it was about to get juicy, it started to drag for me. Overall, it was a good show. One thing that did baffle me was the curtains! Why were they all left open at night? Who does that? Lol.
Love, Death & Robots: Night of the Mini Dead (2022)
Very well done
I really enjoyed this one. The animation was brilliant and different from the others. I thought it was lots of fun and engaging from the first scene. A whole story in 7 minutes, Bravo 👏
Kimetsu no Yaiba (2019)
Fighting scenes 10/10 but so many useless fillers in district arc
I really enjoy watching Demon slayer, for me it went a little left when Zenitsu was introduced. I find his character really annoying apart from when his knocked out and fighting. The comedy and alll the flashbacks was a bit overwhelming in the last season and I found myself skipping to the fighting parts which was awesome! I find alot of anime always feels the need to dumb it self down, like the audience need a walk through with everything. Anyway looking forward tor next season.
Kureimoa (2007)
It's just so good!
I've watched this three times already. I love the characters, the action, the emotion, all of it! I'm reading the manga and it gives a complete story and it gets sooo much better. I really hope they do a reboot because there could be whole second season from the manga. If you enjoyed the show, I highly recommend reading the manga!
Shûmatsu no Valkyrie (2021)
Disappointed...
Slow....lots of talking not enough action. The first fight scene looked like it was going to be epic! But nope :( I'm also confused at what type of audience this is for? The language can be pretty foul at times in a cool way and yet they have alot of childish, stupid dialog and explaining every little action. Anyway I personally didn't enjoy this one...shame had potential.
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
I enjoyed S2...it was just too short
I loved season one but thought I'd write a positive review as I also enjoyed season 2. The only disappointment for me was it felt too short! I was getting into it and then there were no more:( I'm glad I gave it ago before reading the reviews.
Love, Death & Robots: All Through the House (2021)
Made me chuckle
I thought it was clever and pretty funny. I enjoyed this episode.
Without Remorse (2021)
Haven't read the book but I found this movie pretty dull
I really wanted to like this movie despite the bad reviews. Unfortunately the acting wasn't that great, the female seal to me wasn't a strong enough lead and lacked any real conviction. It was obvious who the real "bad" guy was going to be. Action scenes were OK... it was nothing special...shame.
Baki (2018)
Where's Baki?
I honestly don't know why I continue to watch it. I loved the idea of this anime but it just doesn't go anywhere and please someone tell me where the hell is Baki? So confused. I wanted to see his character develop and take on the strongest fighters but nothing happens... A lot of pointless characters introduced time after time which means you don't care who the hell wins, very predictable outcomes and oh yea no one dies after being brutally beaten. It's just pointless! I so hoped that season two would have had some depth and a story. So disappointed :(
