Steel (1997)
Disappointing
Well, Steel is worth watching once.
I didn't think Shaq did as bad as everyone claimed he did acting and turned out a surprisingly average performance for an athlete with no real acting experience or training.
The outfits, vehicles, special effects were all nothing special but we're serviceable.
I enjoyed the Steel comics, and really thought he had the soul and values of Superman and could have been a special character. That being said, the movie has almost nothing to do with the comic except a name. If you judge the movie to the comic, it's basically one to two stars (of ten), but if you ignore the comic and try to think of the movie as a different character it's a middle of the road four to five star where nothing is great but everything is just average at best.
Vratar galaktiki (2020)
Entertaining
I loved the visuals and sound effects, the animation was top notch.
The story lacked and there wasn't much character development, I don't know if it's a lost in translation thing or just lacked altogether.
Still it's a fun popcorn flick to watch once or twice if you just want some mindless fun. There's no sex, nudity or constant swearing so it's kid (and elderly) safe, something for the entire family.
For me, it was a free watch on Amazon Prime so there wasn't any buyer's remorse. Also for 2 hours the movie moved by very quick and never really bogged down at any point.
The Simpsons (1989)
Once was great
The Simpsons started off great and went strong until around their movie and outside the Treehouse of Horrors episodes has been average at best since.
I get it, the show has been around forever and ideas are drying up. What used to be crazy at times is now perpetually safe. No boundaries are being pushed and half the time episodes feel like lectures instead of entertainment. It has become boring, and that's about the best thing to say about the current episodes.
