Stunning Animation, Mediocre Story
15 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
No feeling of attachment to either brothers so therefore no true feeling of attachment at the end. The story just feels incomplete. Beautiful animation though! Missed opportunity for sure...

Good Show, Dumb Title
26 April 2021
This is actually a funny show with a lot of heart and drama! I was pleasantly surprised when I got sucked in from the very first episode! I had seen that the show was on netflix but never wanted to watch it, and now I can say that the posters, trailers, and title definitely do not do this show justice.

This show is an American version of an Israeli show, but they should've thought about changing the title because that is exactly what turned me off (and probably so many others) from even giving this show a chance. The title and artwork make me think of a dumb cheesy hallmark movie, and that's not what this one is.

So sad it got canceled... Maybe it'll be a Brooklyn 99 or possible Kingdom situation and get revived....

Entertaining and Wonderful!
2 January 2021
I thought this show was a lot of fun! I wasn't expecting reality or biographical accuracy at all so I appreciated the whimisical costumes and hair. The archaic dialogue was executed well by the wonderful cast. Just as Hamilton was not "racially accurate", Bridgerton follows in its brilliant footsteps to push the boundaries of diversity and include all people of all colors to fill a variety of roles in this entertaining series! It was also surprisingly refreshing to watch something set in such a different time. This is an innocent and old-fashioned exploration of romance and sex, i.e. not for the prudes. Otherwise, give it a go!

Enjoyable!
24 December 2020
First off, I love Jay Baruchel and he nails his role as the sarcastic screw up, it's hilarious! This mini series includes a typical Christmas archetype of dysfunctional families that become more dysfunctional during the holidays, but it isn't over-acted or cheesy. It's fun, outrageous, and eventful. The ending is pretty farfetched, but the rest of the show makes up for it. Way more enjoyable than those terrible Christmas hallmark movies.

Raw. Gritty.

Phenomenal acting. Absolute fun to watch as you'll get totally immersed in the action-packed and dramatic world of MMA and the Navy St. family. The acting is beyond fantastic -- as a viewer I felt I was truly a fly on the wall observing the characters' lives. As others have mentioned, Jonathan Tucker's portrayal of Jay was perfection and easily my favorite character throughout the series. I'm hoping there will be more seasons to come because of the newfound love for this show, fingers crossed!

Outdated but Entertaining
22 August 2020
As always, media quickly gets outdated. This show is definitely outdated in societal rules and what's okay to say or not say like body shaming, the idea of a working woman, etc. But it's still funny and entertaining to watch.

Time Loop but Romantic
8 August 2020
I gotta admit, when I got to the point of the movie when the time loop was revealed, I was so frustrated. "Seriously? Another one of these?" but I kept watching it because I love Andy Samberg, and I was pleasantly surprised! Funny, sweet, honest, existential, this movie had my eyes glued to the screen. Each scene adds another layer of excitement and the writing of this film definitely keeps audience satisfaction in mind! If you're a Samberg fan, you won't be disappointed! And if you're not, I still say give it a go!

Girliest Dreams Come True
29 February 2020
This show satisfies my most feminine fantasies of that glamorous job, office romance, and a sisterly bond of best friends. I also absolutely appreciate that the female boss character isn't a b*tch and actually supports her employees in a strong motherly way. All in all, the show is very entertaining and I'm continuing to binge away!

Predictable
26 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the suspense, unique powers, quirky personalities, sassy remarks, and dysfunctional family drama, but the season finale was far too predictable and incredibly disappointing. It was basically just a replicated narrative of X-men Jean Grey's. Although I despised the ending, I am definitely looking forward to the next season. Hopefully it will exclude overdone superhero archetypes.

Dumb but entertaining

Of course love isn't blind, but it's nice to laugh at idiots who think it could be.
