"The Firm" tells the tale of the McDeere family - Mitch, a criminal lawyer, Abby (Mitch's spouse) - a school teacher, Claire - their 10 year old daughter, Ray McDeere (brother of Mitch) an investigator for Mitch; and Tammy (Ray's girl friend) who also works for Mitch.
These five people have voluntarily come out of ten years in witness protection, having turned state's evidence that lead to the conviction and imprisonment of the head of a crime family. They now must face readjusting to the world; trying to lead normal lives; and without knowing if the mod is still looking for them..
When Mitch is offered a partnership with a large legal firm, he quickly finds himself and his family drawn into a conspiracy involving murder, money and greed; that puts his family in mortal danger. Can they survive.
What happens to this family seems very unbelievable; but in saying this, each episode is well written, and extremely well acted.
Of all the characters, Juliette Lewis as Tammy, steals the show. Lewis' character is quirky, sexy, smart, challenging, and very believable. Lewis is able to provide lighter moments and clarity during what can be a very dark and hopeless situation.
A series that is very well worth watching.
