Dear Aunt Agnes (1986– )
One of THE best Canadian TV shows - EVER!
10 April 2004
I have several favorite Canadian shows, but Dear Aunt Agnes starring Heather Conkie and "Yes You Can" with Kevin Gillis are at the top of the list, followed by Don Adams' "Check It Out" and Bruno Gerussi's "Beachcombers". For variety series, it is the great John Allan Cameron and the Cape Breton Symphony in his 1975 series on CTV.

My kids were born around the time "Dear Aunt Agnes" ran, but even as teenagers today, they love the show. I almost feel as if I know every nook and cranny of house # 121 in which Agnes, Alex, Andrew & Gary lived. Such a warm, wonderful feeling to watch that great cast, the house, and the great moral values and life lessons presented. The show is timeless.

We saw Alex and Andrew grow up in front of our eyes. I wish there were more episodes, and that they would come back in reruns for a new generation. Thankfully, I have most of the episodes of this FABULOUS show! It's a shame one does not see shows of such caliber anymore:(

I would LOVE to know where the cast is and what they are doing. My fondest wish is to see a return of the show as a weekly series, or at the least, as a reunion episode. Come on TV Ontario, Access, or CBC...
