A Veteran's Christmas (2018 TV Movie)
5/10
Cute movie, but...
23 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Grace was just honorably discharged from the Marines, comes back stateside, but nobody is waiting for her. To make things worse, she had to leave her beloved dog "Christmas" behind. She crashes her car into a fence and meets "Justice", a dog that instantly takes to her. Grace ends up at Judge Joe's house, the dog's owner, who invited her to stay at his guest house. The rest is your typical Christmas Hallmark movie. The movie is corny and some of the lines are definitively overdone, but overall it's quite enjoyable aside from the military goofs. What I didn't like was the end. Grace gets Christmas back, but for someone who loves and missed her dog so much she barely pays any attention to Christmas. It makes the whole story unbelievable and kind of ruined the movie for me.

Great music and great dancing
2 October 2016
I don't know why this movie was not advertised and obviously only shown in a few theaters. We never heard of it and stumbled across it on Netflix and had to buy it online. The music in this movie excellent. It is beautiful composed and Johnnie really looses himself in the music. Johnnie plays the violin with a passion that is breathtaking. Ruby's dance is wonderful and she has that innocent Femme Fatale down pat. The dance off in the subway between two rivaling dance teams was unexpected, but I found them to be better dancers than the main dance team living below Johnnie. The final dance sequence is emotionally charged and one of the best I have ever seen. This movie can easily hold its own with any other dance movie our there. A must watch!
