Bosch (2014–2021)
9/10
"My music is the spiritual expression of what I am - my faith, my knowledge, my being". John Coltrane.
16 March 2021
The appeal of Bosch, Amazon's long-running cop show starring Titus Welliver as Los Angeles detective Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch, is rooted in the sturdy, reliable nature of the series and the character. When you start a new season, you pretty much know what to expect: Bosch will do his best to solve a tricky new case, he'll deal with some problems in his occasionally messy personal life, he'll piss off the careerist bureaucrats in the police department, and he'll eventually use his gun. He'll wear his hemp bracelet, listen to his jazz records, and probably roll up his sleeves enough to provide a glimpse of the tattoos on his arms. He'll be Bosch. Detective Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch is a Los Angeles homicide detective who plays by his own rules. First introduced in the 1992 crime novel The Black Echo by writer Michael Connelly and further fleshed out in the subsequent 21 Bosch books that followed. Most importantly for the TV show, he's played by Titus Welliver, the gruff gray-haired actor known for roles on shows like Deadwood, Lost, and Sons of Anarchy. It's tough to overstate how good Welliver is as Bosch, grounding the granular police work elements and providing a wry humanity to the personal drama. The people who love Bosch really love talking Bosch. When you tell other people who watch Bosch that you're watching Bosch, they'll often light up and go, "Bosch!" If the person you're talking to has never heard of it, you then get to explain who Bosch is, why he wears a bracelet, and what kind of cases he solves for the next five minutes, and that's also a great way to pass the time. Obviously, you know that -- because you made it all the way to the end of this Bosch article. Now go watch Bosch.

The Sopranos (1999–2007)
10/10
Who cares about the sh** people say that they don't have the balls to say to your face.

I love this mafia series. He is one of the favorite TV shows. 'The Sopranos' is something of a cult on the world TV, and started watching it, will get great pleasure from viewing. In this TV series her charm and the charm rests on the reality and plausibility. All cool and without a single touch of hypocrisy. Tony Soprano - son, husband and father of two children. Lives in a nice house with a happy family, picks up the newspaper in the morning, goes to work and drinks beer in the evenings with friends. But is everything so simple? But we have a history of life and dark profession, Tony Soprano is a mafia, a mafia boss in new Jersey. The hero is a panic attack, and he is forced to go to the psychiatrist, with whom he is a real brainstorm, and it becomes a very important person. We see his relationship with his wife and children, friends and enemies, competitors and members of his mafia group. Incredible story of human life outside the law... This series has it all, so that the audience got the pleasure of watching. This show is even deeper than it seems at first glance. It contains monotonous life, philosophical series, supported by an excellent, real humor and high-concept in the story line. The audience will enjoy an exciting and incredible story of a mafia family, which is a series of skits and conversations about her in other films. At the time television is something that caused quite a stir, it was talked about all over the world. When I think of the world's best movie about the mafia, then think about the trilogy 'The Godfather', 'Goodfellas' and when the series on this topic, then of course only 'The Sopranos'. Lots of replicas, favorite phrases and memorable expressions of black humor: sometimes you just laugh to tears. The viewer is waiting for a criminal history and drama, and comedy, so we get a multifaceted, rich cocktail that is drunk with great pleasure. Ladies and Gentlemen enjoy the show.

Dexter (2006–2013)
10/10
"I'm a very neat monster"
28 September 2019
Dexter, an American television series based on Jeff Lindsay's novel 'Darkly Dreaming Dexter' portrays the life of a Miami-based serial killer Dexter Morgan. The Third Season Finale of Dexter was watched by 1.51 million viewers creating a record of getting Showtime's highest ratings. Dexter's Fourth Season was declared as the highest rated telecast over a decade of Showtime's original series which was watched by 2.6 million viewers. For his role in fourth season Michael C. Hall won the Golden Globe award for best actor in a television drama. The Seventh Season was watched by 6.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched season of Dexter. That's a huge number, ain't it? The world has fallen in love with this series, especially with its anti-hero Dexter Morgan (Dex). He has a complex personality. He leads a dual life a blood splatter analyst by day, and serial killer by night. Some call him a psychopath, while some find him quite charming. He charms the audience with his tricks, making everyone believe that he's one of the nicest and wisest people on earth (Wait, is he?). Without 'The Dark Passenger' concept, Dex is actually a good person who strives to lead a normal life. The role of Dexter is played by Michael C. Hall who has done such a brilliant job, that sometimes, we as an audience forget that he's just playing the character and is not Dexter himself! This character has his way of connecting with the viewers. He does this by sharing his dark thoughts and delivering deeper lessons of life. I can still say a lot about the series, but it's better to watch it. I have watched Dexter three times and I want to erase my memory to watch Dexter again.

Ray Donovan (2013–2020)
9/10
Do you think you're the first person I've dealt who woke up with a dead body... ?
28 September 2019
The TV series "Ray Donovan" - a look at the life of modern elites of Los Angeles. Ray Donovan is the best part of the resolve complex, controversial, often sensitive problems of the rich and famous residents of this city. He can really do for them in almost any dirty work, to help resolve a variety of issues, but to deal with the problems his own family turns out for the hero much harder. From the first series, I was attracted by the main character Ray Donovan strong brutal man whose job is to eliminate by any means the problems of the rich people, stars of show business and financial tycoons. Ray slightly burdened with principles of a moral nature, but in his own way loves and protects their loved ones wife, children, relatives. Liev Schreiber definitely played one of the best roles in his career. I'm always impressed by Schreiber, however, so convincingly and naturally it draws its purely visual. So here it ray willingly intriguing and impressive even with a relatively small inventory of words and their hidden essence, which is the main mystery of the series and perhaps not the less dominant lure for the viewer. For his role Liev Schreiber was nominated Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Drama 6 times. For me, "Ray Donovan" is one of the best series. Some of the series even want to revise a couple more times, but it's worth a lot. If you, like me, put off viewing this series on then immediately change their opinion and see ray right now! You will not regret it.

Sneaky Pete (2015–2019)
9/10
When a liar gets caught in a lie, they don't come clean. They build a bigger lie.
4 May 2019
The plot revolves around a brilliant con man who appropriates the identity of a cellmate Pete and goes to his family - a real Pete haven't seen them in twenty years. While the crook is in big trouble. Small local boss (ex-COP) Vince (Bryan Cranston) strongly resent being called "Pete" and says that he owes him one hundred thousand dollars. The situation is complicated by the fact that the hostages his brother "Pete" and his partner in the fraudulent schemes. Marius Josipovic as actually called dodgy crook, gets into a complicated trouble. It's going to take money from the family of the inmate to buy brother. But gets into a real mess where everyone lies to each other - for good and for profit, too. On his trail is a dirty COP-killer, the money is in the safe appear and disappear, family members, and then begin to suspect that Pete is unclean, and Vince is unpredictable. In General, the suspense is pumped by the creators very cleverly. The voltage increases from series to series. Spectators waiting for the two unexpected denouement: one that puts all the points over E in the first season, and one with room for a second season. The writers did a great job. Of course, Bryan Cranston is great. I do not even know - and even if he play badly? In the series he was given the space to Express themselves. He even has whole monologues, which are so made that they look, not looking up from the screen. Giovanni Ribisi, in my opinion, absolutely brilliant actor. Here he deliberately mutes the colors. Its main task is to show "Sneaky Pete" man nondescript and unremarkable - as it should be fraud, but knowing how soulful lie and do an honest face. Great luck, in my opinion, what this wonderful project is not buried in the implementation phase. I looking forward to the third season, which will after 6 days.

Billions (2016–2023)
9/10
No one quits while they're ahead. This isn't France. It's America.
26 April 2019
I can't recommend this series to anyone. He's for the elect. For the intellectual elite. This is not at all sarcasm, as someone might think, but statement the fact . The plot tells the story of the confrontation ambitious prosecutor of Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) and the genius financier of Wall Street Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis). They are both of their kind geniuses of their business. Both are willing to break the law, if necessary, both have strengths and weaknesses. There are no right-wing and guilty. Everyone has their own truth. And the psychological intrigue is built simply flawlessly. Started as a simple investigation, the case gradually develops into a blood feud. The writers made a small miracle, turning the prosecutor and his wife into sado-masochists, sending her as a psychologist of the highest class directly into the lair of the "Beast", making her colleague and friend Axelrod. Meanwhile, the husband continues to put traps on him. The conflict is built flawlessly. The main theme of the series is the essence of capitalism. And how far can a person go in an effort to realize the American dream-and make money, lots and lots of money. There are other topics. Elite of society. People scrambling upstairs from the bottom of the social ladder, and those born with a golden spoon in their mouths. How do they get along? Financial market of the USA. What is he like? And who are all these Wall Street's? What are they doing?! They pay taxes, give jobs, or just rob people?.. The series strongly advise everyone who loves serious topics in an entertaining format. This is definitely not a "for background" series. It is necessary to immerse in it all attention, and then it certainly will not leave indifferent! Well, I'm looking forward to the 7th episode, ''Infinite Game '' of season 4th.

Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014)
10/10
You Can't Be Half A Gangster
17 August 2015
Which side nor look, "Boardwalk Empire" is extremely beautiful. With the joint efforts of writers, painters, costumers and Illuminators managed to recreate the world of the 1920-ies in all its messy luxury.Extravagances Bohemian parties, stained Bandit dens, perfect fat suits and other delights "dry law" creates a multidimensional image era where every detail is chosen with care.Strip the quality so high that even some movies will feel alienated, trying to tiptoe to reach it.However, one minor crime for underground Empire "still fished. The flip side is that everything is magnificence sometimes goes to the detriment of the story itself. The creators so addicted to admiration for their works, that they forget about everything else.Until they mouths and with smug admiration poked fingers in some authentic woman's hat, savoring the elegance of her folds, the story circles around them pulls and swings with hands trying desperately to attract the attention of.Hey, what about, gosh, am I ? "he shouts, not exactly visible ghost. To sum up, it is worth noting that the series, of course, sometimes the way they trample on the spot. It has moments that would have been more scrolling-and not because of their alleged brutality, but simply to speed up the slow process. But eventually he rewards a viewer's patience in full.

Sherlock (2010–2017)

"Sentiment is a chemical defect found on the losing side"
17 August 2015
Hard to take on classics, yes even more so like the immortal works of Arthur Conan Doyle. What only screenings of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson we hadn't seen. We have before us a modern London and the two main characters-Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The first works, he said, advising the detective, has uncommon abilities, but detective has no friends because of their heavy nature.Watson is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, now works as a doctor, rents an apartment, along with Holmes, at the same time as his colleague in discovering cases. No Holmes, Conan Doyle if he did not exist, and there are now.His image is entirely different, he does not smoke like hell plays the violin, harsh in his behavior and decision-making.As for Watson, his image is more or less fit in with the standard ideas about their prototype.Charismatic Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Holmes, cope with its role at all one hundred percent. Its purely English person remembered perfectly, he has excellent mimicry, it really goes under the contemporary detective role, like it or not. Sherlock is a film series where each episode is a cocktail of clever murder and improbable conclusions and investigations of the great Sherlock Holmes.

Fargo (2014–2024)

'Aw jeez, here we go again'
16 August 2015
When rumors first appeared on "Fargo" based very loosely on the Coen brothers ' cult film, public reaction was unambiguous: "hands off the classics!". Even artist co-star, Martin Freeman, later admitted that he took this idea very sceptical. Until I saw the script. The creators of the Coens show managed to write great, full of compliments love letter to and simultaneously make a generous gift to fans of the original paintings of the year 1996. Imagine that you were lucky enough to get inside of a favorite movie, meet with heroes who remained behind the scenes, and generally stay there five times longer than the tape itself lasts. This is "Fargo."In the world of the new "Fargo" is easy to get lost. Snowy Prairie without end and edges, cosy down jackets, dimensionless scarves, ginger ale at Home Café, a neat one-story houses, provincial naivety of local residents. All this could catch longing and dream, if not Lorne Malvo. He was stripped of the usual villain of the serial us charm, making his real focus of dark forces. Glimpses of hell fire in his eyes make the surrounding petrify′, even if Malvo is silent and does nothing. It turned out that the project, which is kind of like was destined to remain in the shadow of the great movie, is able to live their lives. Moreover, the series "Fargo" in the process of browsing can make you forget about the movie "Fargo." And those who are not familiar with the original will see it exactly.

House of Cards (2013–2018)
10/10
Behind every great man is a woman with blood on her hands.
16 August 2015
"Scandals, intrigue, investigation"-here is how you can describe the work. "House of cards" is primarily a political drama, but these factors do not give to say that he is dull and uninteresting. A cross between these story lines additives has always been interesting, whether action or drama. Why should be interested? The answer is obvious. Now in politics and it is all happening-every step of the scandals, intrigues, everyone wants all sorts of ways to remove his rival.Ponder in the title series, it is a bright controversy the White House powerful country residence, a hint that there may be entities such as Frank Underwood, who are willing to do anything for the sake of yourself.Frank immediately introduces the viewer in, telling that he helped a candidate to become head of power, and that in return promised him a seat. Frank his promise fulfilled, but here's the new President did not hurry to fulfill their. And here you're thinking: "Good character, which has around your finger," naturally liking towards him grows. And here you're thinking: "Good character, which has around your finger," naturally liking towards him grows, and you both hands for him. But the farther into the forest, the more wood, as they say, and by the middle of the season, looking at all his deeds committed for the sake of revenge, sympathy alone disappears with great speed.Underwood egoist, he spit on the people around them, everything has to be so, he said, and if not, it will not be difficult to remove the burden from the path."House of cards" exudes unexpected moves the main characters, who are writing the script, creating various unexpected situations, and then try to fix everything and to extricate himself. And it works-after watching the first episode immediately want to include the second, and so on until the very end, it's like the seeds. Wonderful actors, directors work nice, good work as a composer, though very little music-it's all an excuse to watch this series and I promise you will love it.

Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
10/10
If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly.
10 October 2013
"Everybody lies" - says Gregory House. "Everybody lies" - echoes Dexter Morgan. "Everybody lies" - confirms Walter White. Following the cynical doctor and a serial killer on the top of the popularity of serial climbs charismatic chemistry teacher, who decided at age 50 to do the production of pure methamphetamine. Breaking Bad Is The Greatest Television Show of All Time. I hope this year Breaking Bad will win The Golden Globe Best Television Series - Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama (Bryan Cranston). Anthony Hopkins, who reportedly binge-watched the entire five seasons in a recent two-week marathon. The 81-year-old Oscar winner was apparently so impressed by the series that he e-mailed a kind-hearted fan letter to Breaking Bad's inimitable lead, Bryan Cranston, which notes, "Your performance as Walter White was the best acting I have seen-ever." Steven King calls Breaking Bad the Best Written Show on TV.
