Breaking Wind (2012)
1/10
What the hell?
24 June 2012
Breaking Wind...(sigh) Knowing that this movie is supposedly a spoof of the Twilight Saga, I thought that this COULD have been a decent comedy, like Vampires Suck. Now don't get me wrong, Vampires Suck was a horrible movie, but if you just have fun with it, Vampires Suck will have a few chuckles with you.

But Breaking Wind is just bland and unfunny. I kept saying to myself, "Don't be serious, it's a comedy", but not even Danny Trejo saved this piece of crap.

If you think that I'm being to harsh for a spoof movie, think again. There are literally fart jokes every 5 goddamn minutes. Who the hell in their right mind would think fart jokes are funny? The writers must have been retarded.

But their is a silver lining though. And that's Jacob, or more specifically, Fat Jacob. I don't know why but I just found him funny. It must be because he's fat. Hmmm.

Overall, a very crappy movie. Why the producers would think to finance this movie is beyond me. Didn't they even bother to read the script? And why the hell are the Johnny Depp characters in this? Ran out of ideas, probably.

The Legend of Korra (2012–2014)
8/10
Action-packed
21 May 2012
The Legend of Korra is the sequel to the highly successful and critically acclaimed series, Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Although the original creators of the series are returning once again as writers, this one seems too much different with the original. And that being said is not exactly a bad thing.

This takes place 70 years after the events of TLA but seemed to have drastically changed technologically. With that, people also have depended on technology because they feel oppressed by the "benders". This is where Korra sets in. She must bring balance to Republic City once again as the Avatar.

The first episodes were kind of dragging with a lot of cheesy romantic teenage crap but it gets better from there. With high octane action, comedy, and a dark and brooding plot, this series is sure to keep viewers wanting more.

Hilarious movie filled with vulgar and crude jokes
21 April 2012
Let's get some things straight, this movie ain't for those sensitive types of people. Hell no, "Little Johnny the Movie" aims to outrageously make people cringe at the sounds of those aimless jokes.

Vulgarity aside, this movie is pretty funny. Jokes about sex, love, family, and whole lot of other stuff make it worthwhile to watch. It's like an Australian version of South Park but doesn't seem too preachy. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously which makes it more fun. It has silly moments and even sillier characters.

Now the plot itself is simple enough. Johnny wants to win the Soapbox Derby to buy himself a bike to win over his love. But problems arose when his Uncle has no more money for the farm and Johnny's intentions on winning suddenly shift to saving his uncle's life.

The accents may ward off some viewers though. You can clearly hear the thick Australian accents from the voice actors which may confuse some. But aside from that, this movie is a recommended viewing over and over again.

Documentary that attempts to scare off users in playing a game
20 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The movie follows the lives of three users and the impact on which the game Second Life has on their lives. A very interesting premise but yet they seemed to chose a bunch of adulterers, victim of molestation, and a "business entrepreneur" who lives off the money she makes in Second Life.

Now I get why they chose those people, they wanna pique the audience's interest. But seriously? They could have at least chosen someone who had a normal life and documented how it affected them, not videotape someone who clearly has a lot of problems. Not all users who play the game are like those three y'know.

Well, aside from those things, the documentary was pretty intent on trying to ward off future players. It's like they think that this new "Internet thing" is making us addicted. Just because those three people play like 10-18 hours a day doesn't mean everyone does. Sheesh. The documentary acts like any other media does when faced with something technologically new, it tries to find the negative aspects.

The first user is a married woman who thinks she found true love in the game. She meets with the partner who is (surprise, surprise) from Canada. The two seemed to get along well in the game but in real life things don't go as smoothly. They both get a divorce from their respective spouses, hoping that their true love will conquer all. But as any relationship that started in the internet, it didn't work out and the dude left her. Like she didn't expect that to happen.

The second one is a woman who passes off her time in Second Life as a career. She actually makes money within the game. Now that's some smart moves. She's happy because she stays at home, plays video games and gets paid. What could be sweeter than that? But her life won't turn out to be perfect when she encounters an obstacle which I'm not going to spoil for you.

The third one is rather the most interesting of the three. His avatar is a little girl...now, now, before you start asking questions, no he's not a pedophile. He says that the reason his avatar is a girl is because he feels that in every man there's a woman inside and in every woman there's a man. Trouble brews from his personal life; his fiancée is planning on leaving the guy because he plays Second Life all night and barely sleeps (and maybe because they barely have sex?). He tries to reconcile with her and we found out a dark secret of his past.

So, huh, I just gave the summary for the movie. Not much of a review, eh? No matter, weirdness aside the movie was really stupid since it, like I said before, only showed the negative aspects of the game. How about showing the positive ones? I don't know about you guys but man, my rant is tiring. I'll wrap things up with a single sentence: Oprah, you suck.

Oh yeah, Rosie O'Donnel's in the movie. Heh.

An awful remake of an already awful movie
20 April 2012
Okay first things first, you should know that this movie is a remake of a crappy French movie of the same name. If that doesn't deter you from watching, then maybe knowing that Miley Cyrus is starring as the lead role does.

I never had high hopes for this movie especially since Lionsgate completely shunned the marketing team and had no effort in making sure that this movie gets some much needed publicity. But aside from that, this movie isn't really targeted for people like me. It seems to focus on its teen demographic, hell the title says it all...LOL.

Now I'm not hating on Miley Cyrus or anything but God that girl really brought down the movie. I thought that she could maybe prove that she can act and switch away from that Hannah Montana crap, but no, she cannot. And having Demi Moore didn't help either. It's like the cast had every intention to make a god-awful movie that only teenage girls would barely like.

Overall, the movie was your average run of the mill, teenage love affair crap. If you're a guy then stay the hell away from this movie, but if you're a girl then...no, you should also stay away from this movie.
