I remember around 40 years ago when angry parents protested against a slasher flick called silent night deadly night cause that film used santa as a serial killer so people thought that as an insult and protested as nothing is sacred anymore ?

I wonder what they are thinking today when legend kid icons like cinderella winnie and snowhite (snowhite had also a horror version years ago) are having their own horror versions.

When this madness with be stoped ?

When those $$$ makers will understand that we shouldn't mess with what made our kids happy in last 100 years or so ?

So what's next ?

Popeye as a serial killer ?

How about donald and mickey and goofy ?

Come on u beeps u can turn them too in to killers.

I'm sure your kids will love it.

How low this world will continue to go ?

Is there a bottom to the barell ?

As i recall this is the 5th overall ghostbusters film since the 1984 first entry and still hollywood can not bring back the magic the first film had 40 years ago.

The first film had everything needed. The sci fi and fantasy factor the comedy element a great cast and above all a superb 80s epic soundtrack. The title ghostbusters song by ray parker junior is legendairy and still fresh after 40 long years. Even air supply performed a great ballad called "i can wait forever" a 6 minutes epic song which could be released as a single back then and score the charts.

We don't get songs like these anymore. This new entry in the franchise tried to bring back some magic of the old but not much succeeded to do.

The original cast was back but for a little time and they are getting old.

The music is indefferent and the good scenes are redused in the last half an hour of the film.

How i wish we could get the old days back. Sadly nothing will match the original 1984 ghostbusters film. These were the days .....

First half of the film was so boring that i thought maybe i should leave the theater.

Very few intresting scenes and we are just told rebels in future america will overthrow the president.

We are showed a world where food is scarse and crime rules but no explanation was given.

What's ridiculous is the main cast who play the press in the film can go and take photos anywhere they like they go near the army take photos of the shooting and even at the end they are in the white house like they own the place. How beep is all this ?

In fact there is only one or two real strong scenes in the whole film.

The only scene that really kept me intrested was the scene with those soldiers asking the main characters of the film where are they from ?

Then they act accordingly. That scene was the best but sadly most of the film is not anything special.

Still is not a bad film but neither is great like a few are pointing here.

I just left the theater and i can't believe i endured to stay until the end of this movie. It was that bad.

Sadly this movie used the legend title of the great 70s omen flick and they advertised it as a prequel to the 1976 original film.

Sadly this prequel was nowhere near the great original trilogy.

They made it the wrong way.

U can't make a real horror film like that.

They used everything wrong.

The scenario was atrocius.

Give me a break here. So the bad priests want to revive the devil cause ordinary people turn away from the church ? In the 70s that is ?

Jesus christ.

And those beeps who thought of that are getting paid for this ?

As for the rest the film failed in everything.

First 30 minutes were boring as hell.

The rest were clishe jump scares.

U can't frighten people all the time using those beep clishes.

So the nun stands alone and suddenly someone touch her and she screams.

Wow what a bull.

And we use fire and inner voices beep they ruined the movie.

The only good thing in the movie was the final scene in which we saw the man who took little damien in his care in the 1976 film so there was a connection but sadly this did not saved the film.

Really now avoid this at all costs.

They don't make them like they used to do in the 70s and the 80s.

First they destroyed the exorcist series with that beep believer film and now they do the same with the omen franchise.

As a huge caligula fan i own all there is to own about my fav roman emperor and so when i heard there is a new extended edition of the beloved 1979 film with around 20 or so new footage scenes i was excited and i immediately bought the new spanish blu ray release.

Sadly things did not went well with this.

This cut has a lot of flaws. In fact all went wrong if u exclude some new deleted scenes.

Those deleted scenes were the only worthy part of the film.

U get to see how caligula orders other people to worship his own statues which replaced those of the gods. This scene was great and there are a few more but the good things end here.

Unfortunately this is NOT the original take of the film and everything was changed.

What i mean is even the voices the way the actors performed was different than the theatrical version and that was not good.

More important the divine music which made the original film so much better was not here.

The music used here was boring and added nothing to the film.

I was tired watching this.

I will only keep this cut cause of the new footage and that's that.

I'm very disappointed of this new extended cut.

So i advise you to stick to the imperial edition of the film and the original 155 minutes long version.

Many people think the 1972 film deep river savages is the grandpa of the mondo genre. They are wrong.

Before deep river savages there was the naked animal cruelty jungle.

That distant 1954 cannibal flick is the real grandpa of the mondo genre.

And as a genuine jungle horror flick it had what is the obvious. Animal cruelty.

Back at a time when animal cruelty was not a crime. Back at a time when people still had human logic to recognise natural order of things.

While of course is not a good thing to harm animals on purpose the nature order of things sais otherwise.

In the jungle it's perfectly normal to harm humans and animals and that's what this film depicts so those who can't stand this just deal with it and move on.

We can't have a real cannibal movie in the jungle with no animals in it.

Understand that mr eli roth ? And who can understand what i mean that's good for him.

After the success of the epic porn historical caligula 1979 film there have been many attempts to present more versions more porn versions of caligula like the 1981 film caligula and messalina and other attempts like caligula the untold story and films like caligulas' spawn and the slaves of caligula. All those films contained either soft or even hard core porn scenes while they tried to preserve a few historical events.

Joe d'amato tried to do the same in this film only he placed nero in caligulas' place and the result is exactly what u expect to see.

If u are in to those historical roman sexploitation films then this is for you.

Plenty of soft porn scenes and bits of history wraps up the package.

All in all an average film which gained by now the cult status and it's also hard to find as it's out of print and u can find a bootleg dvd only in varius sites which sell the dvd at internet.

All in all the caligula 1979 epic remains the best effort of this genre followed by caligula and messalina the 1981 film as the second best. After those films comes caligula the untold story and then is this nero and poppea 1982 film while the rest of the caligula soft porn films ((caligulas' spawn and the slaves of caligula)) are boring as hell and not really worth your time.

The first hour was a pleasant surprise. Nice dialogue, plot music all worked fine and the omen feeling was strong in the film.

The lead actress was captivating and even the supportive cast was nice.

The gore was plenty so what went wrong ?

Sadly after the first hour the scenario did not made much sense and to present those supposed religious persons doing what they were doing in the lab inside the covenant was a bit extreme and disappointing.

They could explain the lead actress' pregnancy a different way.

After all they presented her at first like holy mairy who conceived by a miracle like the virgin mary did 2000 years ago. This could work but suddenly we learned her pregnancy was fue to those creepy lab experiments and that was not a satisfactory explanation.

Anyhow the ending of the movie was not well done and u got the feeling that the gore was made as a nessessity or something like that.

So the first hour was good then it was somehow ruined by the ending so the result was a bit bitter one at the end.

So u watch the movie and give your verdict.

What's for sure is it was worthy more or less but it sure could have a better ending.

The first hour got from me a grade between a B and a B+ but overall the grade is dropped after the last 30 minutes of the film in between a C and a C+.

While this is not a bad effort and certainly is better than the final walking dead seasons it's still average and the weakest of the three new walking dead shows.

The new rik show is better and the daryl show is way better than this.

I catched myself fast forward most of the episodes and i think i only tuned to 1 or 2 episodes without using my remote controll.

Negan is boring and only maggie cant save the show.

The plot also is weak. So we have maggie hear hear searching for her son who is kidnapped by guess who. Another former member of the survivors. How original.

And in the way she mix with negan the man who murdered glen but now is helping maggie and she is not anymore so mad at him. Jesus those beep storylines...... anyhow u can check this out as it's not one of the bad efforts in the z world out there but it's still average.

This american made godzilla flick is another example as to why we always prefer and consider the original toho godzilla flicks as the better ones.

While the latest minus one film was a great film taking the monster seriously with a great scenario presenting godzilla as a serious menace tro humanity this new american take on the monsters presents great cgi monster fights and nothing else.

No character developments no serious scenario indefferent acting and a failure everywhere except the cgi monster battles.

Unfortunately almost all of the recent american godzilla king kong remake films are based only in the monster fights excluding maybe only the first 2014 godzilla american solo film which tried to be smg different up to a level.

Anyhow u can watch minus one and then watch this film and see how much better is the minus one toho film.

That's why the real godzilla is only the original toho godzilla franchise and not these cash in american godzilla remakes which are only for people who want to see the new cgi effects and don't care about taking the monsters seriously.

There were parts of the movie so ridiculous that u say wtf is going on here. Since when kong goes to the dentist ? There were parts of the movie that they made it a comedy. That is not good. This is a godzilla and kong film. It's not a crap dc pase IV universe movie to make fun with.

The best part of the movie was the final battle but a large portion of the film was boring. At least they could include more monsters but they were more about apes. This was more a kong movie and godzilla was a guest star or something. They even presented mothra in a different way like we used to know her from the toho films and where was rodan ?

So i give this a C- and that only for the great indeed cgi battle effects.

I wanted to check this flick cause i loved thomas ian griffith in karate kid 3 and in the cobra kai tv series and the result was awesome.

Thomas delivered one of his best performances and he showed some great martial arts skills.

For a b movie the cast was superb.

We had mr.henriksen in the mix we had "uncle polly" from the rocky series we had james earl jones and we even had tony todd in the mix.

The plot was nice and we even had a kind of a romance with griffith and his ex girlfriend in the movie with some nice romance - erotic scenes.

If u like a good action b movie flick and u like a bunch of martial arts then this movie is for you.

This is the officially part 9 in the sniper franchise film series and it's another disappointment as the series declined after the departure of tom berenger as the main protagonist.

There are a total of six entries in the sniper series with berenger.

The original sniper trilogy which is also the best of the series plus part 5 which is sniper legacy and parts 7 and 8 which are the last sniper chapters with berenger in but not in the main role anymore.

So if u are in this franchise for the great tom berenger don't waste your time with this entry. Stick with parts 1,2,3,5,7 and 8 and u will have the complete sniper collection starring tom berenger.

Apart from that this new entry is poorly made with average plots and a wooden, indefferent acting and poorly made fight scenes too so avoid this at any cost.

All in all the first three sniper films are the best followed by parts 5, 7 and 8.

Now if u want to try other sniper films without tom berenger i only suggest u try part 4. This is the only axceptable sniper entry without berenger in it so u can check it out but in my book sniper = tom berenger = parts 1,2,3,5,7,8.

End of story.

Let's not kid ourselves. After season 6 ended the show declined and negan marked the collapse of the once great zombie show in ratings.

For 6 seasons and as long the rik group wandered from place to place the interest was high but once rik found alexandria and settled in and once the zombies seized to be the real villains and negan took that role the series were doomed.

All later seasons were nowhere near the great earlier seasons.

Especially when they killed carl and jessie who was riks' true love and they were a great couple and rik should be with her not mishone as he was friends with mishone not lovers until those beeps killed jesse and out of nowhere made lovers rik and mishone and then rik left the show in season 9 that was the nail to the coffin for the once great series.

Now we got three new walking dead shows.

For what they are they are not bad. Especially the daryl show was good and this new rik show is not bad. I saw first two episodes and they are average. Personally i don't like rik and mishone as lovers. I would like to see rik with jesse but they killed her those beeps.

Thing is we will never get the greatness of the earlier walking dead seasons. That is finished.

This film is for sure a candidate for the title of the worst zombie movie ever made.

It's so bad and auful that not even the plenty zombie gore can save it.

U really have to see this to understand how bad it is.

So amateur it is even the actors in this movue can not even act.

Gore is pointless with no real scenario to support it.

There are plenty bad zombie films out there like the lake of the dead the oasis of the zombies the atrocious night of the living dead remakes (leave out the great 1990 tom savini remake) and a lot more of bad and boring zombie films.

But this 1990 german effort combines all bad things. Bore, indefference, amateur acting, bad director. Everything is bad so maybe u wanna check it out for the obvious reasons.

Don't be fooled by the official running time of the movie which is 107 minutes.

The actual runtime is around 56 minutes as far as goes the title of this movie.

To be more precise this film starts with what u expect the conflict between carthage and rome but after like first 14 minutes it changes direction and u witness events and love affairs which have very little to do with the actual plot of the film and then suddenly arround 42 minutes before the end of the film we get back on track and we witness the events which led to the destruction of carthage by general scipio and the romans.

What's important for this film is that it based on actual events and the story we hear as to the causes that led the romans destroy carthage are all true and it's a great depiction of events as we even see how the romans burned the city destroying it limb from limb.

So for you who really want to see these events just skip the film between the 14th minute and the 65th minute and watch only the beginning until the 14th minute and then fast forward the dvd up until the 65th minute in to the film and lose nothing of importance.

Why they did that in the film i dunno and it was weird but this is the only film about the third punic war not to miss.

For some strange reason this one is in my all time top 10 lists of films they were so bad they were good and entertaining.

Somehow this story with the stolen thunderbolts the way zeus and the gods were presented the atmosphere of rhe film in general which reminded of the legend ulysses 31 tv series worked and i had a lot of fun watching this.

This was even better than the original 1983 film which revived the older 50s and 60s hercules film adaptions and it's a must have for your dvd collection if u are a real die hard herc fan.

What's great is there is a new blu ray release for this film but sadly there are no extras except a theatrical trailer.

This is a good effort with adkins and j.white who delivered the martial arts goods one more time in the big screen.

A solid action flick which is worth your time especially if u like adkins and j. White.

The plot is nice and the thriller ellement is high in this movie apart from the martial arts action scenes.

I just saw this flick and i already pre-ordered the dvd // blu ray for my video home collection.

The only flaw is the ending which resolved nothing but i guess there will be another sequel maybe to conclude the story once and for all and what happens with the team of the terrorists who threatened the high ranked politicians with death.

Jason goes john wick or even better jason goes comando the godfather of these kind of action movies starring the great arnold former governor of california.

Only this time jason does it even better.

If u can forgive the obvious flaw as to why the heck no one could shoot that guy in the whole film and why no bullet could hit him then u can enjoy the film for what it is.

At least the reasons behind the pissed off jason are way better than those of john wick.

Really it's way too bad to steal from helpless people especially when they are old and unprotected like that lady was and if u found her face familiar know that she was in the rocky franchise as the wife of appollo creed. Jason had to defend her honor.....he he.

All in all a solid action statham flick which deserves to be in your dvd collection.

Grade B (8 out of 10)

While this had potential and kept the interest still it could have been a lot better.

Like first half of the movie was kinda boring and nothing much happened until sometime after like 30-40 minutes things became better and the movie got more intresting.

Neeson as always plays a role to keep u intrested but the movie should be done differently and could be a lot better if they had give us more and not just what they did with that red haired criminal dude and his crazed sister.

Maybe if neeson had a love interest in the movie it could help things.

Anyhow u could check this out but it's not one of neesons' best efforts.

I read a lot of bad reviews about this film but it wasn't as bad as they say.

Sure is not as good as the first aquaman film was but it's above average despite the numerous flaws.

The plot is axceptable makes sense and the effects are great as momoa saves the day as always with his performance.

There are parts of the movie that may get you tiresome but overall u will enjoy this sequel.

At least it was way better than many of the phase IV dc entries which failed miserably like those beep new entries of shazam, the marvels, wakanda forever and that atrocius flash entry.

At least this new aquaman entry is decent and u should check it out.

Grade B- (7 out of 10)

This is another terminator clone movie which fails big time to satisfy.

It's boring and the plot is a mess as there are times in the film that u can't understand what's happening.

The actors are mediocre at best and the acting wooden.

The special effects and nothing special and sadly this will be forgotten like so many other similar efforts in the course of time.

I would not even recommend this to the sci fi die hard fans.

I catched myself fast forward this to the very end of the movie.

Compared to this the terminator films look like a godfather movie.

So save your time and money and look to spend your money on something else.

U been warned.

Grade // C- (4 out of 10)

I thought the movie was called napoleon. I was wrong. The right title was josephine.

More than half of the movie was about her and here is where the problems start.

For a nearly 3 hours epic film it should include important historical facts about napoleons' reign and it didn't cause the film was all about napoleons' obssesion with josephine.

Where was the pope in the movie who crowned napoleon as king of rome ? We only saw his coronation as the emperor of france.

Where was the important historical event of the actual end of the holy roman empire after francis II abdicated the throne so that napoleon could not usurp the throne (no matter that he did that eventually).

The russian invasion was so short that i was left kinda speechless.

Napoleon after that disaster he brought many children to the french army. Nothing is shown of this.

Finally no matter how good the actor is who played napoleon smg went wrong there as he played him with a...weakness which was not right for the character.

Someone else maybe should have portrayed him unless we can blame scot for this.

Despite all these flaws the movie is of a great value but certainly it could be much much better if josephine was not shown all the time in the movie.

Maybe in the upcoming 4 hours extended dvd edition we will get to see those events we missed in the theatrical version.

Anyhow this gets a B grade from me and that means that still the best film about napoleon is that 2002 tv mini series version called "Napoleon" with isabella rosellini and christian glavier who was a most convincing napoleon ever.

This was in my view the second best sequel in the NOES franchise only behind part 3.

Like most people agree parts 1 and 3 were the best.

All the rest of the sequels were more or less average and the new nightmare film was the best entry after parts 1 and 3.

In my opinion after the new nightmare i place part 6 as the best entry cause of it's origin prequel story mostly.

Anyhow this 7nth film in the NOES franchise had a great idea to bring freddy back in the real world this time and we got heather and even wes in the film which was awesome.

The story was nice and the film was solid.

Sadly by the early 90s those kind of slashers were at decline and the film bombed in the box office and that meant a big hiatus until freddy vs jason resurrected both jason, freddy and the box office literally by 20003.

All in all......parts 1 and 3 were the best and then part 7 is the best while all other entries including freddy vs jason were more or less average.

From the rest i prefer more part 6 the final nightmare and freddy vs jason but my all time nightmare films will always be parts 1,3 and 7.
