Fallout: The Beginning (2024)
I had no faith
Being a long time fan of fallout franchise i wasn't expecting much, a cash grab with "creative liberties" that would distort the wasteland that we all know and learned fo love.
I was wrong, it perfectly mirrors the games, from the over the top comedy of fallout 1 and 2 to the stimpack, passing by the sixties soundtrack, even Super Duper Mart makes appearance.
The final episode of the series was fantastic, one of the best season closers i have ever seen and the final scene showing New Vegas, uff.
My first 10 in imdb, congrats to everyone involve, i will be wainting impatiently for more, much more.
John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
Started ok...
Mid point i wondered if i was watching a Steve Seagal movie.
First John Wick was the best, a surprise, a 80's cliché done masterfully, then the franchise got bigger budget and off course was dumbified at every release, because profit for shareholders and off course its with no surprise this is the best rated one, masses are dumb, thats why when u want to sell (again profit shareholders yada yada) u dumbify things.
And off course every entry, more and more tainted by pretentious incompetent directors, 3 hours? Really? I lost count of garbage pretentious 3 hours movies i've seen lately.
I can safelly say i will never watch this movie again outside losing a bet or being paid.
Mr. Robot (2015)
A Masterclass on making stuff up as u go...
U know that moment where the TV show is done but the ratings are still good and they have to keep going and invariable it becomes a mexican soap opera sprinkled with some of elements of what the show was about?
This show was done at season 2.
A mediocre convoluted take on multi-personalities dissociate-disorder gold mine.
The last episodes were painfull and made me regret all the hours wasted watching this. The "unveiling" of the another personality, the REAL Eliot!! Guess what, it was completely irrelevant to the story, it added absolutely nothing and then the show is over. They literally ended with a mexican soap opera version of "Oh by the way".
Ok thank u for letting me know i guess.
Things We Lost in the Fire (2007)
The most contrived drama of all time...
Boring cheap drama made only to jump into the very popular at the time, type of narrative were u jump constantly between past and present or between the pov of different characters at the same point in time.
Prey (2022)
I gave a 10 for a perfectly understandable reason...
After watching the new Matrix, Batman, Northman and all the marvel garbage, etc, etc, it was amazing to see an action movie that wasn't a pretentious 3 hours movie with a orchestra always playing for no reason at all.
Outside of that... solid revival of the Predator franchise, solid action movie, solid movie.
The Northman (2022)
I guess if u never seen the tv show Vikings
U might find this movie interesting.
I rather watch the 5 worst Vikings episodes in a row than rewatch this movie.
After the pure garbage that it was Matrix and Batman i thought that i would finally watch a great action blockbuster movie, nopers.
The only good thing is that it isn't 3 hours long like every other pretentious move.
The Batman (2022)
Don't waste your time like i did
"Everything about this movie is trying too hard - the over dramatic score, the long shots on characters faces, the overacting, the complex crime story - it all feels it's trying to get an Oscar in every moment.
I loled reading this because at 1\3 of the movie i was already spending more time looking my mobile phone than the movie and when u aren't looking u notice more the music score and every single minute there was this incredible dramatic music going on but every time i looked away from my mobile phonje i found out there was nothing going on even slightly worth of dramatic music.
I guess if u never seen a movie in your life u gonna like it, otherwise avoid it at all cost.
I enjoyed see Paul Dano, always amazing in crazy people role.
Hereditary (2018)
I guess not every competent screenwriter
Went to the TV and gaming industry. This is a really good well made, creepy, disturbing horror movie. One of the best ever made in the genre.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
I had no ideia Terminator fanboys were a thing!
It's hilarious reading the reviews of people upset giving 1's because the plot doesn't fit well with their precious T1 and T2.
I gave it 10 for that reason, it's a 6\7. It's the best terminator movie since T2 and it's enjoyable.
Giving 1 to this movie it's just being a immature uncivic idiot with no respect for other people tha come to this site trying to get an ideia of the worth of a movie.
The Fate of the Furious (2017)
This franchise was always mediocre, now is just laughable.
Somewhere along they way a bunch of drag racers slash lowlife criminals became international secret agents that save the world. No further explanation is needed.
Apparently you can assault a military base with a fast car.
Great movie for cringe Tuesdays.
The Mandalorian (2019)
boring and dull
I like star wars movies but i'm not a fanboy. I found Mandalorian to be incredible boring and dull. I read some reviews and basically its star wars fanboys giving it 10's because of nostalgia and because of baby yoda.
I honestly can't remember the last time i was so bored with a tv series.
Episode 6 i felt like i was re-watching suicide squad.
The Witcher (2019)
It delivers
I finally beat my fear of disappointment and binge watch and i love it every minute.
Witcher world is much more rich than GOT or Lotr, it was just a matter of execution, and the execution was good, could been better with more bugdet, but i can't see how a witcher fan or not could be disappointed
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
The big names are there for a reason....
To hide the steaming pile of boredom and nothingness this movie is...
The only good thing about this movie is the laughs i got reading the reviews by wannabes movie experts Tarantinos fanboys.
Troy (2004)
Might been a good movie for 2004 standarts
Watching it in 2019 as a 40 year old who watched an respectable amount of movies is just an unbearable long bad action movie.
I saw the directors cut and fast forward the last hour of movie. I sighed on Achilles death scene.
It's a soap opera with swords.
Aaltra (2004)
Stopped at 13:00 mark
i'm not a pseudo-intellectual trying to feel good watching intellectual black and white french movies. I actually want to be entertained. One guy is attacked by surprised by the other guy that arrived in a motorcycle and stopped 2 meters behind him? Need to say more? Maybe a hybrid motorcycle? Did Elon Musk financed this movie? Reading the synapse this scene is catalyst of the ensuing plot of the movie. If a scene of this importance is treated like this...
An it's not like until that point, the movie did anything to make you keep watching, the premise has been used and abused.
So yes, this is the review of the fist 13 minutes of the movie. If i want to be entertained with bad writing and nonsense i watch so blockbuster action movie.
