Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)
Entertaining autobots, humans, not at all
Fan of Transformers. I believe the story is played well as far as science fiction allows, considering exaggerated action scenes and corny dialogue that goes along with cartoon/comic based movies. It has pretty great CGI, cool action scenes, so-so design on Transformers other than Optimus and Bumblebee.
What really got to me was the horrendous acting job on Elena's character. Almost as if they chose someone random from the street to get the role. Lack of facial expression other than having her mouth open all the time, lack of delivery on all of her lines, almost as if reading straight from the script.
Noah's was not much better but was a little more convincing.
Blood-red mad when Noah merged with Mirage and became IronMan.
Also would've been nice if they showed more of how Maximals looked when transformed.
Hope they improve for the next two that should be sequels to this one.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Forced goats
The screaming goats did not work for me. I just didn't get why they were supposed to be funny and I feel they were overused throughout the film for a quick laugh but they felt cringy to me for the same reason.
Also, for some reason it feels like this is a fastforwarded version of a longer movie, maybe that's the problem of wanting to include too much plot into the movie.
Holidate (2020)
Just horrible acting all around
It's as if someone told them they should do a mix of not trying at all and acting sarcastically. The director has made movies before but it's as if she's directed it over Zoom. Plot is 300% predictable. Humor is bland.
Se busca papá (2020)
Atrocious
Can't tell if the movie is directed to parents or children, it constantly takes horrible twists and turns that leave you wondering if it's supposed to teach you something (that I can't still figure out what it is) or just make you waste an hour and forty three minutes of your day.
Weak storyline, predictable, terrible and effortless acting by the whole cast.
