A good movie
16 June 2016
I just love the movie, it's beautifully done.

The development of each characters emotions is spot in this movie. I love every bits of the movie.

Although the other details could have been prepared better, I still think the production team have done a great job focusing on the 3 main characters. Regardless of the others, the 3 actors did a wonderful especially Patrik and Goran.

It does not contain too much(any) softcore porn like a particular gay-themed movie does and it's definitely watchable for all.

The storyline is just wonderful, cute, and refreshing. It's just keeping you smile hours after the movie. It even gets to the point where I said to myself that I wish that I will get the same family too. lol.

ANYWAY, if anyone saw similar movies like this one please reply this post or leave me a message. Thanks!

Simple and quite boring
12 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
It's not too bad but it's kinda bad compared to other gay-themed movie.

The two actors are hot (that's the only point in the movie, I suppose). It managed show the struggle of a lonely person would feel, they kinda get me there.

The actors are not that good, and yes the frontal scene is a bonus for 6 star lol

What I would love is that they actually make Alexander real, as if he is a rebellious young kid that comes into the grumpy Daniel's life and made him less lonely. I guess that would be much less interesting tho.

What about the title Steel/I means? There will be a sequel?

Overall, a 6 star is too high.

The meaning of the movie regardless of the facts
31 May 2016
I've read the reviews and mostly pointing out the inaccuracy of the details in the movie. I have never read or learn about Alan Turing or any evolution of Computers.

Based upon the meaning of the movie, I think it is so fascinating. I believed the producers were trying to point out the fact that being difference is what matters. Ordinary things is boring and wont bring any changes.

Benedict did a fine job as Alan, from being a curious over the head thinker (like he always does in Sherlock) to an insecure man. Oh! The young Alan did a great job especially that scene where he tries to hide his tears upon receiving the sad news about Christopher form the headmaster. All the characters were well played and the scenery of the movie is spot on specifically for the WW period.

What's more striking about the movie is the indication of the way homosexuals are being treated back then. It just makes me sad, I mean what else could he have done if he was to live longer.
