Iron Fist (2017)
Could be better
Finn as Danny Rand was poor casting. His acting is not good and he is unbelievable as a bad-ass. The character is annoying. I know he is supposed to know much in the beginning, but his continued ignorance makes him unconvincing as a hero. The fight scenes are very weak compared to Daredevil. The story got better during the last few episodes, otherwise it takes too long to get your interest.
Bright spot: David Wenham is very good as the creepy Harold, and Tom Pelphry does a good job as Ward.
Overall the show is below par for the Netflix Marvel series; particularly compared to Daredevil and Luke Cage.
After Fall, Winter (2011)
Lizzie Brocheré
The movie is a little boring. There are some good aspects to the plot, but it doesn't seem to come together as well as it could have. Schaeffer should have cast someone else in his role. The character he plays has great lines and wit, but Schaeffer doesn't deliver well, and comes off as fruity and very annoying. It's obvious that this guy (Schaeffer) thinks a lot of himself, even though he's trying to appear to be the 'everyday (depressed) Joe' in this and other movies; and he wants to do love scenes with beautiful foreign actresses(so maybe you can't blame him). The main reason to see this movie is Lizzie Brocheré. She's super cute and sexy and does a good job (much better than Schaeffer). This movie would have maybe been a 5 without her. The 'tragic' ending is a failed attempt; should have just had a happy one. I like movies that end in a way you wouldn't necessarily expect, but this one comes to a useless conclusion...he only knew her a couple of weeks.
