Don't be confused like I was
28 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movies is not about making bombs or awesome explosion scenes. It's about limp-wristed scientists and aristocrats pointing the finger at each for being communists. They barely talk about bombs at all and when they do it's vague and cuts immediately. If you want go see iMax screens of people's faces arguing who's a communist and who's not this movie is for you, if you were expecting something like Interstellar I apologize. On the other hand if you ignore what I said and can enjoy the acting and cinematography then by all means go for it. This can still be a great movie, I just went in with very wrong expectations.

The truth hurts!
31 July 2022
All the tools used to find these facts out are all fake and debunked until they use the same tools for people prosecuted for January 6th. You can easily tell who's who by reading the reviews, it's a sad state we live in but the truth is the documentary is spot on, whether you like that is up to you.

Back in the Saddle

Waiting for a PTA film is like the Olympics except we're always guaranteed a gold medal and Licorice Pizza was no exception. Much like Boogie Nights but instead of the raunchy truth of Boogie Nights we get the innocence of falling in love with all the games we "used to" play as teenagers. Licorice Pizza tells a simple story of boy chases girl but with the telling of a true filmmaker. In addition to the phenomenal list of supporting actors, the soundtrack, the cinematography and the truly one of a kind dialogue is the recipe for perfection and dare I say PTA is the only one left with said recipe. I can't wait to repeat my praise for another PTA film, it's inevitable.

The Hype is real
4 October 2019
Most of the time movies are anticipated like this they end up falling short, way short. Joker is the first time I was more than happy with the hype. Please ignore the complaints of "pernicious violence" as they are embarrassing to say the least. We haven't seen a comic movie this real before. If we ever "deserved" a better class of criminal - Phillips and Phoenix have delivered. This is dark, Joker IS dark and you will fall in love with the villain as you should. The bad guys are always more romantic anyway.
