Oh dear
2 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
We all expect some unrealistic stunts, and sure enough, the film has plenty. Sadly, the killing of Ilsa to replace her with the annoying and exceedingly dumb Grace ruins this film and any that follow.

We watch as the hapless Grace constantly makes a selfish choice despite it being evident that she is up to her neck in the brown stuff. I'm not sure what else to say other than her annoying character and behaving like a spoilt child.

Do yourself a favour and do something else for the nearly three hours of endless goofs. Stabbed by a knife on the floor is one of them, but trust me, there are plenty more.

Season two; oh dear!
28 October 2022
I enjoyed season one and eagerly awaited season two. I cannot understand why the writers turned the new season into stupid fight scenes where a target could dance through a hail of bullets from ten metres and not receive a scratch. There was no plot to speak of, and they added a harlequin called Koba, who was like Negun from The Walking Dead; mindless violence and drivel ensued. You then get nothing but infighting among the gangs, and the plotline disappears down the toilet. I hope the writers leave it at Season two because I cannot see any reason to consider watching the third season.

It's such a shame because it could have been so good!

Do not bother!
15 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Where to begin? If somebody wants to make a fresh start and escape a violent past, they move as far away as possible. That's what you'd expect if you wanted viewers to believe in the plot. Unfortunately, Cassie moved a few miles away, which made it ludicrous from the get-go.

James Nesbitt is a great actor, but his character has to be the most useless policeman ever. He was in bed for most critical moments and often missing when required. When he did show up, he talked in riddles to his partner, who was also his ex-wife. We didn't know anything about how Dave made a living; he swanked around 99% of the time.

My wife sussed it by episode two, but somehow, it humbled along for eight episodes.

The scene where armed officers chased Ray turned into a farce. They would not discharge their weapons in a public place where metal structures meant a ricochet and subsequent stray bullet could injure or kill innocent bystanders.

Boring nonsense!

Oh dear!
21 May 2021
I am a massive admirer of Martin Freeman, and without his part in this nonsense, I would give it zero. Oh wait, I cannot score it zero. Perhaps the writer was a fan of Bernard Manning and liked "blue language?" I fail to understand why so much foul language is required. I'm terrible at times with swear words, but I'm a vicar compared to this

PURE DIATRIBE!!

Quickly slid down the ice
19 May 2021
It started with promise, but it followed a lot of other TV series; downwards. Sadly, the ice helped it slide more quickly.

Annoying snore-fest!
10 April 2021
It started on the right path but was soon wandering like a blindfolded drunk person. It took me a while before remembering it is a rip-off of Bron-Broen and a bad one at that!

It required two episodes at most!

Yes, we get it; Elise is on the autistic spectrum. We understood after first seeing her character! It would help if you didn't remind us continually. Please, can you move the plot forward before we fall asleep?

Utter dross

I thought the arrest scene in episode one was awful, but I stayed with it in the hope things would improve. Sadly, it was all downhill with idiotic characters arguing about nothing and generally talking in riddles. Utter and complete rubbish!

Warning: Spoilers
Are the writers trying to make the police look inept, or is the arrest and interview scene so poorly constructed that they couldn't come up with anything better? I do hope this improves because, at this early stage, I will ditch it without significant improvement.

Such a shame

Jo (Kelly McDonald) has a mouldy banana's charisma, and the episode was even less charismatic. I do hope her awful expressionless drawl doesn't dominate the forthcoming episodes. If they do, I will not be watching.

It went downhill faster than Franz Klammer
28 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The first episode was slow, and the content annoyed me. It picked up, but after three episodes, it started to reach insane levels of stupidity. Constant repetition of the same mistakes by Ned in his care of Jesse made it a snore-fest. You felt as if you had accidentally skipped back a couple of episodes.

Flattered to deceive!!
29 November 2020
The start was full of promise, but it quickly went downhill. I found myself sympathising with the lead character in the first two episodes but realised he was a bit of a **** and as the plot wandered off down memory lane, I hoped he would get his comeuppance. I may watch the first couple of episodes of season two and hope it improves.

Mid-air car change
11 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
They are driving along what appears to be a bridge. Joe swerves violently to the left, does a barrel roll and in mid-air, you see another bridge. They land on the road, no airbags deploy, and it's a different car to the one they set off in! How did they swerve across the concrete central reservation, and how did they get up and walk away unscathed?

Snore fest
6 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The first episode was okay, but that is where it ended. The rest is pure drivel. The electromagnetic pulse killed most people, but the survivors also had their cognitive function impaired as they stumble around saying, and doing stupid things

Fallen flat on its face
23 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Like many others I wanted this to keep me enthralled but it has failed by episode 4! It's like a remake of the keystone cops but without the humour. In one scene Hardy goes to meet a female serial killer who is holding his sister hostage. He takes Mike Weston FBI and tells him the building layout. Hardy is then knocked unconscious, bound with gaffer tape and tortured with magnets, I kid you not! Where's Weston? Finally after finishing his coffee and doughnuts, Weston ambles in and shoots the female kidnapper.

Turgid, nauseating etc You get the idea!

BINNED!!

Oh dear
31 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I think they're trying to solve the case by a process of elimination. They just blunder around breaking every legal procedure almost in the hope they'll stumble across the culprit or someone will confess. To make it worse, one of the leading police officers had sex with the first suspect and said nothing at all. She even deleted CCTV evidence. Very bad show!!

Just bored of it now, love Brenda but the character is just stupid. Blundering around crime scenes, illegally questioning people and entering their premises. It just gives Police a bad name!

Losing the plot!
2 August 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I started out being unsure but after a few episodes it was good.

The mixture of comedy moments when they perform some miracle revenge act on a drug dealer or bad character made it refreshing. This meant you didn't have to take it all too seriously.

I found the plot involving Anson Fullerton added some great twists, I won't spoil them for future viewers.

Sadly the latest season is driving me insane, mainly with Michael's Mum. We keep seeing her crying and moaning about Michael claiming she want's to know who he is dealing with.

Maddy's obsession with her Grandson is nauseous and basically it ruins almost every episode. She claims she will deal with matters but she just keeps running off at the mouth and then apologising.

Seriously the writers need to give her a back seat role similar to the one she had in previous seasons. Just bring her in when dinner needs making and leave her out of the main plot.

Good start but downhill after episode 1
14 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
It started out with a good plot line and a couple of twists but it went downhill fast.

Marcus Farrow was supposed to be a decent police officer, smart and savvy.

Then this smart officer went bumbling around Manchester leaving clues everywhere and more importantly leaving his finger prints at crime scenes?

It was crazy that he grabbed the knife embedded in his wife's stomach then he left his prints at Tofer Lomax's house.

It all became very sloppy overall and then in a 2 minute climax it ended.

Very disappointing when it could have been so much better
