Vishwaroopam 2 (2018)
Not what I expected...
Not at all satisfying. This is not what I have expected from 'The Viswaroopam (2013) Sequel'. In 2013 it was extraordinarily high class and stood one step ahead in the Indian cinematic era by all its special aspects, but this one, does not turn out to be a perfect quality sequel for it. The plot is ok but it is mostly lagged by the imperfection of scenes. The spot where the 'interval' is placed is so miserable. The mother-son sentiments and Kamal-Pooja romance amidst this serious plot is utterly displeasing and plot spoiling. I divide the scenes of the whole movie into three parts. Excellent, good and bad. Excellent are indeed the scenes related to the Afganisthaan Al-Qaeda scenes of the first part.(They are made along with the previous movie shooting itself.)The stunts are sometimes irritating by the super heroic numbers, over exaggeration and editing. The terrible villain Omar is like a guest role till the end (so please don't wait for him till the last act.) Acting is ok but Pooja is over dramatic. Technically good in cinematography and sound mixing but the overdosed CGI and imperfect visual effects is really annoying throughout everywhere. Anyway the movie is good but dont ever expect a high level second part for the Kamal Hasan epic Viswaroopam (2013), if so you will be disapponted. If Viswaroopam of 2013 was a sincere and dedicating hardwork of Kamal Hasan, Viswaroopam of 2018 seems to be a obligation or a lazy duty of the same.
Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017)
A milestone in Tamil cinema.
The next level of Tamil cinema is here. Very few Tamil movies are comparable to 'Theeran Adhikaaram Ondru' as it takes a powerful and distinct cinematic effect. Its a high quality movie work done with great dedication and it is evident from the impression it creates on every viewer who exits the theater after the show. An excellent screenplay mixed with perfect cinematography, thrilling background score, casting, nice songs, hot stunts, alpha heroism etc improves the film and heightens the class and value of the film.
THEERAN ADHIGARAM ONDRU is indeed a sumptuous watch. Watch it from theaters only and kill piracy.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Awesome..Excellent...Amazing...What more want?
Yes,and at last I saw it,my most awaited movie of this year.THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.I have little words to appreciate this Christopher Nolan masterwork.I have been extremely thrilled from that time I had spent one of those exciting two hours of my life inside that theater confines and it satisfied all my needs more than my expectations. Its truly great!Probably the best heroism and villain ism ever on screen.A brilliant conclusion for the legendary Batman Series. The ending lays foundation for a fourth episode of the series with the rise of another hero.
Again a terrible villain,Bane(But Joker is outstanding). I couldn't really believe that Tom Hardy is behind that ferocious mask. The action scenes are breath holding, the suspense is brilliant and the ending revelations regain hope.Unlike other superhero movies,'The Christopher Nolan Batman Series' does not completely concentrate on the heroic actions and styles of a supernatural hero.Batman(Christian Bale) is nothing more than an ordinary hero in 'our' city and nothing differs him than his masked face and scientifically equipped body and actions. However he is the true hero. The story moves through extremely thrilling events with sudden and unexpected twists and turns. It was spontaneous that the introduction of batman was the scene that thrilled me the most and made my hands clap aloud in the theater.
Let this movie break all the existing blockbuster records and be one of the best one ever in cinema history.
As a die hard fan of Christopher Nolan,I have finished watching all of his works
'Thank you Nolan.'
The Woman in Black (1989)
Real Scare
its truly scary..the caption in the posters"Do you believe in ghosts?" is what firstly attracted me towards 'The Woman in Black'..I have been searching for good horror movies that can cause true scary impact on me feeling weary of conventional puppet horrors created by Evil Dead like movies..This movie didn't minimized my expectations even a little..While watching this film, alone in my room at night in surround sound system I felt the real affect of 'ghost fear' after a long time in my life..This movie has gone unrecognized in the big screens around my city although its a must watch to those who seek good horror movie experience. The lengthy scene in which the hero feels the ghostly presence and paranormal actions in his new home offers breath pausing moments and abnormal heart pounds to the viewers..The climax is unexpected..The theme is conventional but the cinematography is special that it brings true perfection of horror for 'The Woman in Black'.
