Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Screw the haters
Most people probably aren't going to agree with me but I think this is way better than the first one. Especially by the third act, just nonstop intense superhero action is something I've really been missing all of 2020. Really glad Warner Bros. decided to release this on HBO Max. Also, was very skeptical of Kristen Wigg being casted as a villain, but I think she pulled it off really well, and I know people aren't going to agree with that but they're just wrong.
Boyhood (2014)
A must see for people who truly enjoy films
It took me two days to digest this movie, and after doing so I can proudly say that this is definitely one of my top 10 favorite films of this year, and honestly of this summer. Basically this movie is about a boy named Mason and major events that happen to him from the first grade all the way up to his first day as a freshmen in college, so 12 years. What makes Linklater such a clever film maker is the fact that he used the same actors the entire 12 years this movies was filmed, and he used year appropriate music from the years certain scenes were shot during. This does add on to a nostalgic feeling. To sum this all up, this is a good movie. Go and see it in theaters and then buy it on BLU-RAY when it comes out, also buy the soundtrack because it is amazing!
Captain Phillips (2013)
A must see for anyone
Captain Phillips may just be one of the best films of 2013, this is a solid film, from the creative directing from Paul Greengrass all the way to the performances by the actors and I'm not just talking about Tom Hanks' portrayal of Captain Richard Phillips, I'm talking about the ENTIRE cast (But Tom Hanks' performance was phenomenal as always). But the cinematography on the other hand could have been done better, but that's just in my own opinion. I honestly don't want to say too much and give anything away (even though we all should know how it ends since it was all over the news back when it happened in 2009) but this film is 110% a must see for anybody who enjoys films based on true events, or for people who like movies with Tom Hanks in it. And who doesn't like a film with Tom Hanks in it anyways?
