I like action movies!
4 February 2024
This movie has a decent amount of action. It really can't be compared to the other terminator movies, because this one is probably the worst one I've seen. Aside from Linda Hamilton, the other female role main actors don't seem to be, how shall I put it, experienced and Believable. I'm sure they're fine people in real life, but as far as acting skills, I wasn't really floored shall we say. Even Linda Hamilton can't save this movie... She seems to be going through the motions reprising her role as the bad**B *TCH. I love Linda Hamilton, and was happy to see her get another movie, even though, it must've seemed like only a payday to her, as well. The whole social issues theme that the Director seems to delve into are unnecessary for me. All that said, science-fiction movies are fun to watch, but with $185 million budget, I think they could've found some decent actors to fill out the cast and make this a more exciting movie during the slow points. I found myself cringing at some of the dialogue and the delivery.

Gripping saga
11 May 2023
Gripping saga! This has got to be one of the top movies ever filmed! The narration is absolutely stunning, the plot, beyond reproach. This movie is an absolute pinnacle of high school filmmaking: a masterpiece. A fantastic travel log of the Iverson ranch! I have no idea why these guys are climbing around on rocks and talking to each other with a bunch of varied characters of whom we don't have any idea what their point is to be in the movie, but hey, Something must happen? Anytime, some very! Very exciting photography. The sound track is exceptional! I think the budget must've been blowing on the musicians playing the incessant soundtrack which absolutely overcomes the moronic acting sequences. I would pay good money just to have a copy of that soundtrack. I wish I knew who actually composed it. I hope you all have smoked about five joints before you watch this.

Actors collecting a paycheck
13 April 2023
Actors collecting a paycheck... You better really, really like the actors in this movie, or you will not enjoy it. They just seem to be going through the motions here, and the plot is secondary to smirking, acting cute, and doing whatever else comes into their heads ad a vehicle to get through the scene. After the first 45 minutes, I found myself scrolling on my phone rather than paying any attention to the movie. It was fun to see Brad Pitt in there, but overall, I wouldn't waste my time watching this. I've seen far, far better from the two main leads. They both take this cutesy persona way too far.

Top-notch Cheese
11 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Ida Lupino has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. For me, that was reason enough to watch the film! She is one of the pioneering female actresses and has an incredible history if you would like to read up on it. I loved the locations in this movie; an island off of Vancouver serves as the backdrop, and it is absolutely beautiful. Ray Harryhausen was attached to this movie for a while, but it ended up using giant rats and other Fantastical creatures which terrorize the woebegone residents of a rural cabin on the island. This is top notch cheese at its best. Ham-handed acting and giant rats. What could be better? I give it a 10.

Fun show
4 July 2022
I have watched several of these Bigfoot shows. Strange Compass readings, battery's dying, knocking sounds in the woods... They all seem to have similar occurrences. This one stands out because of the setting in the Alaskan bush. The team does encounter some strange sounds, along with the odd "vibe" to go along with it.

The shows tend to be fairly repetitious from the historical and informational point of view. As myself and others have noted, most of the shows see or hear a big foot behind every bush. The other factor is that one of the main characters keeps saying he needs to reclaim this land for his people. Yet at the same time he keeps saying that he doesn't really want to be there. These hour long shows could probably be distilled down to 20 minutes each if they tried.

My main complaint about these types of shows is the soundtrack and background music, which seems to be designed to create tension. The problem is, it's hard to hear the actual sounds that the team is supposedly hearing due to the soundtrack which is intruding in the middle of the scene. I could live without all the extra noise and just go along with the actual ambient sounds of the shows. This happens in all these types of shows. Too much background music!

It's a fun show to watch on a Sunday afternoon while you're scrolling or just hanging out.

"Did you hear that"
11 April 2022
"Did you hear that" I love paranormal shows. Trying to find Bigfoot, aliens, ghosts, all these types of shows are pretty fun to watch. My main complaint with this and most of all the other ones I've watched is the same: every time I am supposed to be hearing some thing on the recording, the damn soundtrack music is playing in the background and I can't tell what the hell I'm supposed to be listening to. All the shows have way too much background Music and them. Very little actually happens in this program, and hardly anything is discovered that couldn't have been shown in a 10 minute show. I like the history aspect of it, but overall, it's pretty much a run-of-the-mill Ghosthunter program. This show, and most of the other shows like it have people running around saying "did you hear that" all the time, and I never really actually hear what the hell they're talking about.

"What was that"
11 April 2022
"What was that""Did you hear that"... "Did you see that"... Unfortunately, I guess you had to be there. A lot of people wandering around in the woods where there's bears and mountain lions thinking that every sound that they hear is made by a Sasquatch. It borders on ridiculous. They have a little bit of evidence once in a while, but they could take the entire season and boil it down to one hour. I seriously don't understand how people get funding for these types of shows. I enjoy supernatural and paranormal investigation programs, but this one is not really making it.

Of course he got away
20 January 2022
Of course he got away... One of the most brilliant criminal masterminds in history is just going to give up and shoot himself in the head after almost pulling off one of the greatest global war efforts in history? Highly doubtful. He had all kinds of money at his disposal, he had points, he had submarines, he had everything he needed including plans of how to get out of Berlin and go to South America, which is exactly what he did. In many peoples opinions, he lived his life out in South America. There is a terrific program called hunting Nazis which outlines these theories.

Well-done documentary on WWII
3 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed the combination of historical footage, family member accounts, and retelling of the battle history. I have only seen one episode so far, the Battle of the Bulge. For me, a map showing the layout of the towns the drone overflies would have been helpful, as the drone footage goes by fairly quickly, and its tough to understand the relationship of the towns. Also, I was hoping for more Lydar analysis of the various areas; the best part was the battlefield forensics/archeologic examination of the actual sites, but they only did one area. For a person who is familiar with WWII history, I was looking for more new information, and less hisorical review.

That said it, is a well created effort, and worth a watch. I give it 7 stars from a historical perspective, but was hoping for more site analysis.

Decent Film
10 June 2013
This is a somewhat predictable Hallmark Movie. That said, there is a lot of heartfelt content, nice scenery and decent acting, although the main character is a little wooden. Danny Glover is endearing, and the plot has lessons. That's why we watch Hallmark Movies. If you are expecting a Fellini Masterpiece, don't waste your time.I liked the idea of making a movie based on a Norman Rockwell painting, although there wasn't a lot of character development. The themes of doing the right thing, following through, and keeping your word are good things to be reminded of at any age. I also liked the small-town feel of the movie. It could have used a little more music, but I am a musician, and appreciated what was in the movie. Not a lot of movies have Americana soundtracks! Enjoy...
