I don't remember when this was broadcast on actual tv and I stumbled upon it on DVD with low expectations. Sure, it's kinda dated and the special effects aren't so great at times but overall it's very enjoyable and high quality. And, is it just me, or is there a naked woman in every episode? Was that a requirement? Nudity is fine, it's just an odd coincidence. But anytime I see something like the dance of the dead, or a zombie sex orgy I'm happy! This really reminded me of what it would be like if Alfred Hitchcock Presents made a baby with The Twilight Zone and Freddy Krueger was the delivery doctor. In other words... yes, please!

Fantastic documentary about the horrible life of mega-troll Ailes. His poor wife.. so many sexual assault and rape lawsuit settlements, which led to FAUX.. errr.. Fox News firing him and his death soon after. Ailes was one of the worst humans this country has ever seen. Pure evil. His bloated, obese body reflected the ugliness inside. What a sad, tragic, insecure man. The world is a better place without him in it.

I purposely avoided learning too much about this film and went in only knowing that it was controversial and divisive - which is typical of Aronofsky's films. What I wasn't expecting was how amazingly well made or how unique this story was. It could be interpreted so many ways! And I get how some people would loathe this film, but not me. I loved every second of it and will see it again this week (it's definitely best viewed in a theatre - you really need to devote your senses). Not for children.. definitely rated R. Oh, it's just perfection. I've never seen anything like it and it's just so amazing. I was mesmerized from start to finish!

i like this franchise. it's difficult to come up with unique plot lines, especially for horror/sci-fi, yet the VHS series always shows me something i've never seen before. this is probably the weakest of the bunch, but i still found it entertaining and different. kinda feels like a hodge-podge mix of shorts that don't have much to do with anything else but i still like it. i wish the segment with the foreign language explored things a bit more. the psycho-sexual aspect was interesting and i wanted to see more. i'm hoping there is a fourth chapter in this series as it is unlike anything else. i'm surprised about the negative reviews i've been reading. this film fits perfectly in with the others and is the same format and new stories.

wow. hold on... WOW! i see a lot of films and i'm always happy to see scenes/situations which i have not encountered before and this film gave me a few. i loved 'em! this film is 100% unique and i laughed out loud several times. while not for everyone, i appreciated this film in many ways and plan on seeing it one more time in the theater, though i'm expecting this to me a cult classic. i just thoroughly enjoyed this movie. if you like Bruno, JackAss, the Sarah Silverman program, etc.. you'll love this. it's like Siegfried and Roy on mushrooms, and i mean that in the best possible way. t. p.s. IMDb's spell check sucks major donkey ass: it wouldn't let me submit this while spelling theater or program correctly. screw you, IMDb!

i saw this film today as part of the seattle international film festival. i've seen a lot of films in my life and this has to be one of the worst ever. i don't really think there is a plot and certainly no character development. the style of filming is very amateur. one of the few things i did like about the film was the nudity. i have no problem with that as this film has a very sexual tone and it's nice to see that the director and actors weren't shy. i had bets with a few of the other filmgoers today on how many people would walk out of this screening and i won the bet. i stopped counting at 22 (my guesstimate was "over 20"). i really have no idea why this film was made. it will be forgotten in a few years as it has no relevance.

the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) is having the world premiere of this film and i was fortunate enough to see a press screening today. somehow i missed the live tour and i'm very sad about that as this looked like it was such an intimate, thought provoking show. julia delivers her one woman monologue in her usual, witty way. i was thoroughly delighted every moment of this live film. i can't give away anything but i will say it was a pleasure to listen & watch julia speak about her spiritual journey/evolution and her realistic outlook on life. when this film comes to your city, do yourself a favour and see it with a group of friends or family. you'll laugh out-loud, get teary-eyed and rejoice in the intelligent criticisms before you. i LOVED it!

already intrigued by iceland, i found this film a welcome addition to what i already know about the country. i saw it the first week of this year's (2006) Seattle International Film Festival and as of that showing, it still hadn't acquired a distributor, unfortunately. besides an interesting concept (to document the nation's opinion about whether gnome-like "hidden people" exist alongside the humans, plants and other animals albeit mostly secretive), i really enjoyed the icelandic music that accompanied the documentary. artists such as Mum, Sigur Ros and others greatly added to the general ethereal atmosphere of the cinematography and subject matter. i was hoping to find (on IMDb) more information on the soundtrack or even if one exists (does it?).. well, if you get a chance to see this film, i highly recommend it.

last night i went to the SEATTLE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL's gala viewing & reception for the Director's Cut of Donnie Darko. Richard Kelly (director), Drew Barrymore and a few other cast members were in attendance. it was spectacular! all of the extra footage and the song rearranging (killing moon now ends the film and inxs' never tear us apart opens) make it so much better and a bit easier to comprehend. the extra dialogue between donnie and his teachers & therapist were greatly needed and now i consider it a perfect film. it's really hard for me to find ANY fault with the director's cut. after last nights showing, there was a Q&A with mr. kelly and the cast. i have nothing but respect and amazement for this director. he's super intelligent, amazingly handsome and downright sincere. i can only imagine fantastic critical success for his future. thank you, tika bordelon (whom has never doubted his commitment to Sparkle Motion).
