Hanu Man (2024)
One deducted for the villain
Story and direction 10/10
Execution 10/10
Acting 9.5/10
VFX 8.5/10
Ending scene 1000/10
Villain 6/10
This is what can be achieved when the heart is in the right place. What adipurush couldn't do with a budget of more than 500 crores, Hanu man did it with around 30 crores. The ending sequence was outstanding I had goosebumps for 5 min straight. By far the best superhero movie made in India. My only gripe is with the villain. The story of the villain was good but the villain could have been better and the team could have made a better costume. Can't wait to see the next part. This is a movie I will watch again and again and not get bored. Hats off.
12th Fail (2023)
After a long long time a movie that moved you
No words to explain how good the movie is. The journey of Manoj Sharma is brought to life by Vikrant with such devotion that he makes you live every moment of Manoj Sharma's journey. I could watch it again and again and again. The direction, the screenplay and the acting there is no aspect which falls short of excellence. The entire cast has done a favoulos job. Everyone should watch this movie for two reasons. First to get inspired from the journey of IPS officer Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma and then to appriciate the effort put forward by the ensamble cast of the movie. Bollywood should make more such movies.
The Flash (2023)
And they claimed this to be the greatest
How is this the greatest comic book movie ever? They botched up the flash point story line. The CGI is so bad I don't want to talk about it and the acting is cheesy at best. I mean flash is a funny character but ezra miller was borderline annoying. They could have made such a great movie if they had put in some effort. Flash point is one of the best stories in the DC comics but the movie doesn't do justice to it. Nolan proved that comic book stories need not be illogical and snyder made visually marvelous movies. The recent DC movies are mediocre at best. Let's see what changes they make hence forth.
Anek (2022)
PROPAGENDA much!!!!!
When you are so inclined towards an ideology that it reflects in everything you do. Exactly the same has happened with anubhav sinha in anek. His haterade towards the present govt is reeking in every scene of the movie. The three stars are only because he attempted to showcase the North Eastern part of India, which I believe needs to be represented in mainstream cinema but what he has shown in the movie is cringe worthy. The way he has shown the state machineries, the govt and the special forces only goes to show his blind haterade. The way our special forces have been portrayed in the climax literally gave me headache. I really believe this is the worst movie of ayushman khurana and this woke culture will mark the fall for him.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022)
Spooky, hilarious and entertaining
If anyone could have done it other than akshaya kumar then it was kartik aryan and god did he deliver but the one who stole the show was tabu. Great blend of comedy, horror and the jump scares are intense. I honestly feel its better than the first one.
The Kashmir Files (2022)
It hits you hard
I always knew about the kasmiri pandits. I knew that they were forced to leave their homes. When I booked the ticket I thought I knew it all but I was wrong. The movie hit me so hard that I wanted to cry. No one but the kasmiri pandits can feel what they went through. The filmography was raw and vivek sir didn't mince his words. When I left the hall I was sad and I was angry but above all j was proud. I was sad because no one should have gone through what they went through. I was angry because many who were behind this ghastly crime are free today and part of the main stream. Angry because the media and the academia chose to suppress this and proud because I am a pundit and despite going through all that the kasmiri pandits didn't take up arms instead they worked on their lives and many are now successful around the globe. All the actors have done a tremendous job and finally kasmiri pundits deserve justice.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
The bestg MCU movie after endgame
No words to describe what the movie is. A nail biting experience through and through. Every second has you on the edge and my oh my what a second half. I can watch it on loop for days together. Best spiderman movie and a very close second to endgame.
Shershaah (2021)
The best Indian biopic ever
Forget M S Dhoni. Sheesha is the best Indian biopic. What a celebration of the grand life of Captain Bikram Batra. I don't have anything to point out in the movie. Everything was perfect. And what a performance by Shiddharth. He blew my mind. I always knew he had it in him and he just proved it. Performance of the entire cast was awesome. Kiara advani pulled of a great performance as dimple cheema.
State of Siege: 26/11 (2020)
Hits hard where it matters
The story telling is crisp. No nonsense anywhere. No exaggeration.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
The justice league we all deserved
Can't believe its the same story. I loved every minute of it. This is what you get when you love what you do. Snyder did justice to every character especially cyborg and flash. Good to see flash being more than just a comic relief. The only complaint i have is the story doesn't do justice to batman's character. That's why I give it 9 out of 10
The Legend of Hanuman (2021)
Finally
As the heading says finally an animated series worthy and what's better than a story on hanuman. Everything is perfect the animation the story the background music. Can't wait for the next season.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)
Doesn't justify a biography
The story is good if you consider it as a fictional movie but when you call it a biography and claim that it's based on real events then its wrong to twist facts. I will list the pros and cons of the movie and then give my views
Pros:
1. Pankaj tripathy as father of the protagonist puts forward a commanding performance.
2. The story is focused and doesn't deviate
3. The story is as long as it needs to be.
Cons:
1. Facts are twisted to show IAF in a very bad light.
2. Janvi kapoor fails to deliver in moments showing emotions and her performance is monotonous.
Considering the above I will call it an average movie so 5/10
Betaal (2020)
Bad propaganda worse story
First petrik graham is spreading propaganda through his stories this much is sure after watching ghoul and betaal. Second petrik graham doesn't know story telling. The first episode itself was a disaster. The way its show its clear that the creator is trying to target a certain journalist and the para military force. Second let's come to the technical part. It's not a zombie movie because here an evil is possessing the dead. They are not aimlessly wondering for flesh like other zombies. The acting is average at best. I would have given the series a 3-4 star out of 10 but the forced propaganda in the first episode made me give it a 1 star because I can't give anything below 1 star.
Joker (2019)
A comic film so real it feels imaginary
As heath ledger's joker said "madness is like gravity all you need is a push" Joaquin through his performance has proved it. Through the movie one will witness the fall of a man and the rise of the Joker. Brilliant performance by Joaquin.
Prassthanam (2019)
Utter disppointment
I don't know what is going on and why it's going on. The movie has a great plot but the cast doesn't do justice to the story.
The Family Man (2019)
Amazon's answer to sacred games
A must watch. The story constantly puts you on edge. Brilliant acting by all the cast. However the ending leaves very less for further development of the series. I will be disappointed if there is no season 2
