Listen I was really excited for the show. And I honestly couldn't make it through the first 15 minutes.
I did some research and turns out the original creators of the show left and it SHOWS. The bending in the animation is based off of martial arts styles and not just "magic". But in this it's like they just raise their arms and fire or air comes out. Additionally socka has no comic relief. And what was that Shakespearean monologue of aang talking to himself before he ran away? Where's the emotional payoff for that? How are other people liking this show is beyond me. I'll never watch another second of this and I'm looking forward to avatar studios coming out with new animated projects because that's the ATLA I truly fell in love with.
