Now Is Good (2012)

What an amazing movie
9 March 2013
My friend recommended this movie to me with a warning of you're going to need tissues. Let me just say, I don't cry watching movies, but this, honestly I have never cried so much. It was an amazing movie portraying the different emotions felt by the family. It wasn't just about a girl fulfilling her bucket list, but about falling in love, others being her rock and her being other peoples rock when they needed it the most and how the smallest things have such a big impact. The tenderness of the relationships was beautiful. Dakota Fanning did an amazing job as did Jeremy Irvine. What a wonderful and beautiful way to portray young love in such a sad situation. Would highly recommend this movie.

Loved it!

Just saw this movie and to be honest I didn't have high expectations about the movie itself. I was just looking forward to seeing gorgeous shirtless guys dancing around on stage and thats about all. As it turns out, I really enjoyed the whole thing, story included. It touched on a few serious things, had some great one liners, the chemistry between the guys was great - they made it believable that they were mates who performed together, and the guys were babes! (Just as a side note, some of the guys weren't that great at dancing but still did a great job!) Also, the movie flowed well, it wasn't all stop-start like some movies are these days. Definitely recommend this movie, even if you go with your girlfriends for a bit of fun!

LOL (2012)

Not that bad

I can honestly say that when the hype surrounding Miley Cyrus started I wasn't that interested in her. I checked out her TV Shows etc and all I could hear was a nasal-y voice and a girl who was so chirpy it wasn't funny.

I love Nicolas Sparks' movies, all of them. Then I found out Miley was in The Last Song and I wasn't too happy but decided to watch cause the guy was a babe. The first few sentences I heard the nasal voice and I was put off but then I continued to listen and it disappeared and it was like her personality came through and really enjoyed it. From then on I liked Miley.

I gave LOL a go because I like Chick Flicks and I'm not ashamed to admit it. This movie is pretty similar to real life, just a little more dramatic (as are most movies).

I compare this to Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Aimed at younger girls but can be enjoyed by all. There were some super cute scenes in it, cute boys and they were addressing issues that are faced by all ages.

Definitely not the best movie I've ever seen but I would watch it again for sure!
