Friends (1994–2004)
One of the best comedy series ever
21 June 2004
Six characters that make a delicious cocktail:

Gorgeous Rachel, a self-made business-woman who once was a snobbish rich girl. She always screw something up and her impulsiveness could kill her thousand of times.

Eccentric Phoebe, who wears exotic clothes and does rare things like carrying her brother's babies in her womb and giving them out to him. But her remarks are surprisingly smart and full of common sense.

Brilliant Monica, who devotes all her time to cleaning and cooking and hates people messing around. She longs for husband and kids but she is unlucky with the guys until she meets ...

Hilarious Chandler, who can make joke of anything or anybody. Nobody knows where exactly he works. He is desperate in relationships but one day he falls in love with ...

Fantastic Joey, who had so many girlfriends that cannot remember the names of 90 per cent of them. If you want to date him, you should be aware that Joey does not share food!

Charming Ross, who is highly educated professor and as all very intelligent people often finds himself in awkward situations. His first wife is a lesbian and he was divorced three times.

And they show us what a true friendship really means. They always hang around together, they support each other, share their ideas and beliefs..And a good sense of humor always helps, as Candler says. The stories of their ups and downs, romances and other staff are told with a sharp wit which makes this show one of the best comedy series ever.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)
Definitely worth seeing!
15 June 2004
I occasionally crossed one of the show episodes in the 5th season. I heard about Buffy the Vampire Slayer before that day, but I never had been really interested. However, I changed my mind after seeing a couple of episode. I got really involved soon and started to search for information about the show.

To cut the long story short, the main idea boils down to the following: a beautiful 16-year-girl is chosen to be the one in the world to kill the vampires and demons, to fight the evil and to save the world. She is the Slayer. Her life is constantly in danger and her fate is to die before she turns 20. And she actually died at the end of the 5th season. I was really frustrated, but then I got to know that the 6th season is being shown in the US. It was a big relief, because I couldn't imagine my life without Buffy.

So, what's the secret of such popularity of the show? First, The story is not ordinary and it is brilliantly written, and the cast are just fantastic. Sarah Michelle Gellar, a blonde beauty, plays Buffy and she really does her best. She is the most charismatic figure in the show, which is meant to be :) Her best friends, Xander (Nicolas Brendon) and Willow (Alyson Hannigan) helps her in her tough job. She has a Watcher (Anthony Head) to train her, and even a vampire (James Masters)who is not totally dreadful and who fights on her side.

What makes this show so special is that it talks about serious, real life things. Love, hatred, addiction and personal losses are just few of them. Indirectly the show moves us to think about our life. I must admit that show makes you better that you are, if you are listening to the message it carries. How many of you would sacrifice your life to help the other people survive? Buffy does, and so do all of her friends at one point or another. Some of them will actually die in the end, giving their lives for their friends.

Well, so after crying my eyes out after Buffy Death I bought a 6th Season and I liked it so much that I decided to see all of them. I absolutely fell in love with the show, it's really sad that it finished. Nevertheless, Buffy will always stay in my heart, I'll keep her stories in DVDs and will re-watch them when I feel like it. It's definitely worth seeing.

Party of Five (1994–2000)
One of the best TV shows
15 June 2004
I started to see this show from the beginning and I was fascinated by the whole concept of it. The struggle for survival of the Salinger family after their parents being killed in a car accident is the plot of the story. Only five of them, Charlie (the oldest), Julia, Beily Claudia, and a little Owen left in the big family house. They had to solve all the problems by themselves, and there were lots of problems: money problems, Beily's alcoholism, Claudia teenage crisis and, finally, Charlie's cancer. They had to be strong to keep going. The show was very realistic, very often particular situations did not have a Happy end, like in other shows( Beverly Hills 90210, for example). It was fascinating, because at that time it was the only series that actually dealt with real life situation. We all know that life is tough, and the script writers dared to show it up.

The cast was just great: Neve Campbell, Scott Wolf, Lecey Chabert, Jennifer Love Hewit, all of them are extremely talented and they did their best in the show. I loved it so much! It was definitely one of the best TV shows!
