Exit Humanity (2011)
Still hope for zombie movies
I usually pass up anything that is described as horror or says zombie in the title since the original zombie movies like "Dawn of the dead".
I'm not sure why I chose to watch Exit Humanity. I think it was for a lack of anything interesting to watch. I'm happy for this lack in judgment. Exit Humanity turned out to be nothing like I had expected. It is well written and well acted. I wanted to give it more than 7 stars but then I am very hard to please.
I think the failure of most zombie movies is the idea that there needs blood, guts and more blood and guts instead of intelligent dialog and story line. Exit Humanity is worth watching.
Hancock (2008)
I really don't understand why people don't like this movie other than...
This super hero story is closer to what I imagine it would really be like in real life except for the Ghost Busters fight scene. In all the other super hero movies you never get to see real people. It is always cartoonish. You know, dark swirly clouds. They could have left that and the bad language out. Still, I think this is a great candidate for a second movie. Won't happen though. One thing that always kills a movie in the US is blacks and whites kissing. Personally I don't care but facts is facts. Look at the data. Now that "Hancock" has been introduced to us, I'd love to see a second movie more on the serious side. It would be cool to see what would happen if Hancock got involved in some real life type issue we deal with in today's world like the many wars going on around the world. A super hero doesn't always need to have Kryptonite. Fighting an unwinable war would be interesting for a super hero. It is always the same story line though with the movie industry. Hancock was just a little different. I enjoyed it.
