Missing 411 (2016)
Where did they go?
Something strange is happening in The most remote areas of the US. People are going missing in National Parks without a trace. These are unsolved mysteries that continue to happen. Paulides doesn't look at clearcut cases of foul play, kidnapping or animal attacks. Here we see cases that share very strange similarities. The paranormal is implied but never implicitly stated. Expect questions but not many answers.
Fathom (2021)
Fascinating
Finally a documentary that's not depressing! For fans of nature AND sound design / field recording! Highly recommended.
Cherry (2021)
Too negative to finish
At some point in the film I just realized it wasn't doing me any good to watch it. It's just a bunch of people that don't make good decisions going lower and lower. I guess people are fascinated with the muck and filth. You watch enough of that stuff and you'll end up worse than you were when you turned it on. No thanks. Decided to take a nap instead.
Light of My Life (2019)
Not your normal sci-fi...
Great examination of the relationship between a father and his daughter after a plague wipes out half of society. This dystopian sci-fi film maintains an element of tension throughout as the father protects and teaches his daughter. Some frightening or intense scenes but the majority of the violence is in one scene towards the end of the movie. Beautifully shot in Vancouver and other locations in Canada. Recommended.
