Duck Butter (2018)

Civil indie movie about reality, how we search outside in desperate quest for finding ourselves
22 June 2021
24 hours of real life challenge for real intimacy with yourself. Only through challenging yourself can we find, with what are we comfortable and what is "not me" (and just cultural legacy without real/deeper meaning) .

It's a bit modern version of The Way There And Back.

Netflix style movie
23 April 2021
Artsy, pieces of lives of one lost family from expat Indian higher society told in American style (so do not expect any singing, emotional shouts or crazy jokes).

It's modern, well crafted and professionally made piece of cinematography just with a light touch of the south east Asia.

Without any bigger story arc or drama, just civil memories without any real closure or happy end.

I liked it, but probably never view it again (or even recommend it to others).

Watched on Netflix.

Before I Fall (2017)

Both civil and enticing, very romantic adaptation
3 June 2020
I watch the movie because I fell in love with the book. And was actually very surprised by the fact that the picture did not fall short of my expectations (as they so often do)! I liked both main character and her besties and sister. Only major objection I have is way how it depicts Juliette, dyke girl (and dreamboy, of course) - all those receivers of bullying had no deepness in this story. So if you missed this here, please, read the book!! 📖
