Secret Chef (2023)
Cheffy is annoying.
The show would be pretty decent if not for the cartoony features such as "cheffy" and her terribly lame jokes. It makes the show seem like it's for kids, which would be fine if the entire show seemed that way. It's super weird. Would like to see what the show would be like without that component. It's otherwise an interesting concept for a culinary competition. The challenges are unique. Haven't seen some of them other shows. But the teamwork challenge seems so unfair as it eliminated a great chef because his novice partner ruined the dish. We lost the executive in the first episode which just didn't seem right.
Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls (2022)
Why so much hate?
I'm not a big girl but I can appreciate the intent and purpose of this show. I certainly can't dance like these girls do. I'm glad they're being given the opportunity to showcase their gifts and chase their dreams! Who doesn't love that???
A hater. That's who. Ignore them.
Because We Are Girls (2019)
Outstanding display of courage
What a raw depiction of the human experience and human emotion. You ladies are phenomenal! I hope this release of this film serves as a cathartic experience for you and that your bond with one another continues to sustain you. Thank you for courageously sharing yourselves and your story with us.
After Life (2019)
Yes. Finally, a relatable character.
Ricky Gervais kills it again! I'm so pleased to see a show focused on the agony of a miserable human being.
That's it's. That's the review. I love this show.
You Belong to Me (2021)
I'm so tired of misrepresentations of mental illness.
This review is for all the warm, kind-hearted, compassionate, law abiding citizens who happen to struggle with psychosis.
If I see one more movie depicting someone with psychosis as a deranged, psychopathic murderer my head might pop off. It's irresponsible and just increases stigma that has a REAL negative impact on so many lives.
This movie is trashy from the moment they depict a psychiatrist conducting therapy sessions (that's not what they do) to the moment the protagonist describes the antagonist as "clinically insane" (there's no such thing. Insanity is a legal term, not a clinical one).
I can't even.
-another irritated psychologist.
Unhinged (2020)
Why Russell? Why?!??!
Such an awful plot. Characters with no depth. Storyline unrealistic af. Who wouldn't beg a stranger for help? Who wouldn't drive to the nearest police station? Who doesn't have a passcode to their phone? What other drivers would see someone being rammed repeatedly by a monster truck and wouldn't call there police? In what city can you go on a high speed chase and not get caught by a random police office and/or no one call for police?
Why such a talented actor would lower himself to take this role is baffling!!!!
Crimson Peak (2015)
GATWTFOOH
Awful. Cheap "special effects". Stupid story line. Snooze fest. Who is being paid to write these "10" reviews. This movie was terrible!
Pieces of a Woman (2020)
EXCELLENTLY DONE
Film as its finest is the raw, honest, accurate depiction of human experiences. THIS was a film.
Tenet (2020)
HUH?!
Sooooooo disappointing. The first word out of my mouth when the credits rolled was "What?"
Overly complicated plot that doesn't tie together at all. What was the drawing about? Why did we crash the jumbo jet? Why the gold bars? Who exactly is this main character supposed to be? Oh, right. "The Protagonist". He has no name. So cool (sarcasm).
The music was awful. Characters had no depth. Dialogue didn't cut it. More than anything it was dreadfully confusing.
Nearly 2.5 hours long yet I have NO IDEA what this movie was supposed to be about. I should have walked out. This movie left me frustrated and angry. Christopher Nolan owes us all our money back.
I See You (2019)
GREAT thriller, with a slow start
I was doubtful for the first 30 minutes that I had made a good movie selection. But once it picks up....It. Picks. Up. Great thriller film.
Troop Zero (2019)
Weak. Corny.
Very predictable feel good movie with kids. Not necessarily for small kids though. Lots of cursing. Expected more from selected cast but was let down. I think they were going for a Beast of the Southern Wild vibe, must missed the mark by miles. Lots of phony laughter too...which is annoying.
See You Yesterday (2019)
Well Done
Far better than I expected. Good plot. Nice urban twist on a common time travel story.
The Cat in the Hat (2003)
This s**t is hilarious!
I am shocked to see so many negative reviews from people who were hoping to get the G-rated version of this Dr. Seuss classic. I thought it was absolutely cool and refreshing that they assumed the original readers are now adults and would appreciate the mix of crude humor with the juvenile antics of the cat. I certainly did. AND I watch it with the kids. This is NOT a bad movie for kids, unless, of course, you're raising nuns. I laugh out loud to this day.
Ghost Whisperer: The Walk-in (2007)
Zombies???
Amazing that a zombie walks around town for three days vandalizing stores and no one notices. Also amazing that a zombie goes to a 10-year high school reunion and no one notices the smell of decomposition. But hey! It's tv.
