Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2014)
A Great Show for Children
My son loves this show, even more than Rescue Bots. As I'm forced to watch many of these shows with him, I quite enjoy this one a well. The animation throws back to the original series with anime style thrown in for good measure. Compared to Rescue Bots, it's a step up.
There are good jokes, the characters are fun, and while made for children, there are things adults can enjoy, too.
Moana (2016)
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who hated the music
The story is fine, the acting is fine, but the music is terrible. Boring, unimaginative, and basically a European interpretation of Polynesian music. Disappointing.
Eighth Grade (2018)
What it's like to be an adolescent girl
Even though I grew up in the 80s and some things weren't relatable (all the technology, mainly), the feelings, the awkwardness, the anxiety - spot on! A great film about growing up.
GLOW: The Good Twin (2018)
Boring
This could have been a really funny episode, but instead it's poorly done, not funny, and a waste of an episode in a lackluster season.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Not a bot
Just a fan of an episode that may yet surprise me. I've trusted the TV GoT team since they took on overwritten, okay book series and turned it into epic television. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that this will come around by the end to mean more than what many call a slap in the face. I'd like to wait before I judge this episode against the whole.
On its own, it was tense, epic, and fulfilling.
Also, why does anyone assume this isn't exactly how Martin envisioned the ending?
Spirit Riding Free (2017)
A great show for kids
This is a great show with a diverse cast of characters. I love how involved the fathers are in their daughters lives, and the girls are empowered to solve problems and take risks. My son loves it.
Lords of Chaos (2018)
A terrible, inaccurate bore.
When they say the truth is stranger than fiction, that's definitely the case here. A dull, shallow version of real events that relies more on shock and gore than telling a compelling story. A few comedic elements keep the film from being a complete waste, but save your time and read the Wikipedia page on Euronymous.
State Park (1988)
If you have the opportunity...
Do yourself a favor and watch a candidate for best worst movie.
