Vive la France
16 January 2008
I remember seeing a trailer at the Friday evening movie preview program back in the early eighties on Belgian television when I was a kid. They showed the scene where a woman gets stuck in an oven with her arm. Although it took me more than ten years to finally watch it because it was never released on video in the Flemish speaking part of Belgium, only in the french speaking part. I really hope Le Demon Dans L'ile will be released on DVD one day because it's a very well made French horror movie with a lot of gore, suspense and well done special effects. A must have for all horror fans around the world, if you can find it on tape.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Natural Born Killers
14 January 2006
I saw The Devil's Rejects yesterday and I liked it a lot but my first thoughts were that the movie remind me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Natural Born Killers and From Dusk Till Dawn (remember the motel scene?. Although Rob Zombie did a great job, a lot of splatter, great effects, good acting, everything what it takes to make a great movie. And how boy, Sheri Moon is an awesome babe ;)... I really hope she survived the final shootout with the police, so we can see her in the next Rob Zombie... The DVD release is great, a double disc with the complete making of and lots of extra's and deleted scenes.

Keep on going like that Rob, we just can't wait until your next movie.

is this a horror movie ???
1 November 2005
People of IMDb, last night was a very disappointing Halloweenevening. I've red about The Halfway House here at IMDb and I trusted most of the comment.A big mistake !!! What a crap this movie is, I'm a collector of horror movies and I have about 1800 tapes and about 400 DVD's. All horror and thriller. I've seen a lot of bad movies but this one is total crap. I can't understand why some of you like this movie. If you are a lesbian then you might like this movie. The girls are pretty, the lesbian scenes are pretty, the special effects are bad, the acting is bad, the whole movie is bad. It's not been released (yet) in Belgium, so I had to order it in America. People don't waste your money on this, there are lots of good horror movies you can buy. You don't have to buy the worst of the worst.

Do You Like Hitchcock? (2005 TV Movie)
What a great producer
21 March 2005
Me and my girlfriend had the opportunity to watch Ti Piace Hitchcock at the Brussels fantastic film festival last Saturday. He directed this movie for the Italian television (RAI) and in mine opinion with success. The movie was introduced to the crowd by the master of horror himself.

The movie isn't as gory like the seventies eighties Argento movies but it still contains a lot of suspense and the murder scene is in "Argento style". If you are looking for a real gory giallo then you'll better skip it. It's an Argento movie and expectations may be high but it's a television movie and when you are an Argentofan you'll notice.

I'm really looking forward to his next movie.

what a great movie
21 March 2005
My girlfriend and I saw this movie at the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival. We both liked it a lot. The movie contains everything what it takes to be a real good gory and scary movie. This as to be one of the best horror movies that I've seen over the last couple of months. It fascinated me from the start until the end. Maybe some scenes are nasty gore but it's a horror movie. The make-up and special effects are awesome and the London subway and sewers are the ideal place. (remember Raw Meat)

I really hope we'll get to see more of Christopher Smith in the future because he did a fine job.

a true masterpiece
8 December 2004
I first saw this movie about ten years ago. The movie was released in the French speaking part of Belgium as 'Le Venin de la Peur'. This is supposed to be the best version but I'm looking forward to the DVD release. This movie contains a lot of atmosphere, gore, nudity, suspense, amazing scenes and a fantastic Ennio Morricone soundtrack. He didn't had the special effects stuff of today but Fulci did a dame good job. The 'dogscene' is in my opinion one of the greatest scenes ever taken in those days although it's been cut in some releases. This is Fulci's best movie and maybe one of the greatest gialli ever made.

A Lizard in a Womens Skin is a 'one to watch' for the real giallofans among us.
