Donkey Punch (2008)

Donkey DOOOO
7 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
i am going to keep this brief... if you value the use of your time this is one to miss.

the film actually had an interesting start -3 young woman on a girls holiday meets a group of lads on holiday in a rented boat, drinks, drugs, flirting and banter... at this point you are still awaiting the film to really kick in, however up until this point, the film is still more than just watchable, which i thought had potential to continue in its tracks... suddenly, the whole film changes direction, they 'lose the plot' so to speak.. after a perfectly filmed porno styled orgy scene where the infamous DONKEY PUNCH DEATH occurs and the the carnage begins... words cannot explain how unrealistic the rest of the film plays out.. completely idiotic unbelievable murderous acts coming at you like flock of seagulls until all but the 'good girl' is left.. it was laughable.

sorry guys! plot-less and pointless - very disappointing.

so bad even my woman made us leave!!!!
12 February 2006
Warning: Spoilers
so even though my woman has the worst taste in films, and can be quite happy to seriously sit through the most rubbish of films and still find some form of positive comment to give it, she couldn't stomach this!! fair play to 'fitty cent' for another notch to franchise belt, i guess, but in my eyes the truth is YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and 50 CENTS IS ABOUT ALL THIS FILM IS WORTH. not to be harsh but when compared to 'gansta' movies such as boyz n the hood the plot line was both weak and un directional.. if I'm gonna say anything good about this film it is that perhaps it had some amount of potential - after all jim sheridan directed it, who has in the past made some AMAZING films (the boxer/in America) why he decided to make this.... ILL NEVER KNOW - in reality the film delivered nothing but pointless violence with a drug narrative that went nowhere!

the best film i have gone to see by chance.
5 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
so its a Tuesday night and the misses phones me up at work as I'm leaving and informs me that her mother wants to babysit and we have the evening to our selfs.. cinema? she says... by the time we got there the only films left yet to show were saw 2 and kinky boots. the choice between Hollywood American (no offence) rubbish horror sequel vs a brit comedy that i had not heard of? what do watch, this could be bad either way.. taking a chance on the brit comedy was the best choice I've made in a while..

every joke in this film is funny, every moment was worth watching and a film set in Northampton (no offence) that is actually good is an amazing achievement. hehe. i have a lot of love for this film and for men who wear womans clothes..

hope people give this film a go because chances are they will be as surprised as i was. very good film.

Warning: Spoilers
when a hardcore English man takes him self to LA to find out the truth behind his daughters death anything could happen? good ole' terry stamp doing the business with a bitter classic English attitude.

i love the fact that he is old, angry and doesn't give a damm. the humor used in the form of the 'cockney slang' ie 'hes my new china' or 'im gonna have a butchers' was priceless, the culture difference between the Atlantic was truly highlighted by this. plus the einstien joke is an actual classic!!!

basically a good film on many levels and an interesting idea to mix American and English talent that doesn't include hugh grant or kate winslet..

Warning: Spoilers
with an amazing cast and it is amazing this London 'gang world' film is - in my opinion - one of, if not the best gangster flick around. with ray Winston heading up in the 'godfather/daddy' role and his team including Jude law, Johnny lee miller and Cathy Burke this is one heck of a funny film. twisted humour through out IE the LSD in the dog food situation, through to the Denise van o's cucumber scene and domination suit.. welsh vs Brit jokes through to bitter irony.. this film is well funny for a night in with a DVD. i would also do a double feature with sexy beast or gangster no 1.

p.s ray Winston is god.
