Sleepwalking in Suburbia (2017 TV Movie)
Exceptional
26 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It was a very good movie up until the end where it made no logical sense. I got Michelle sleep walks and has sex with Luke and almost with her friend and therapist but her husband Dan's actions at the end makes no logical sense. He killed Luke and framed Michelle for it because of their romp which he knew it was as a result of the sleepwalking.

Yes Michelle and Dan's marriage was on the rocks but his 180 to want to murder her when he was the one rejecting her for sex, was hard to buy.

Its still a very good movie which I enjoyed.

Loved it!
4 June 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this move starring Penny Pax as Emma Marx who finds herself seduced into a world of BDSM. I have seen many movies (on Cinnemax) like this but the man ruins it by introducing a new person into their secret love affair. Here he does not do that which I am glad about. He cares that she is loving this as much as he unlike the Cinnemax movies He makes it clear that she can leave at any time. Her feelings of importance to him.

Also, unlike in other such movies, there is mutual respect on both sides.

I liked how Emma lay ed out the ground rules at the beginning as to what she will not accept such as choking, knife play etc. He gives her a safe word for her to say if she wishes to stop.

She lives with her parents and older sister Nadia who is engaged. Emma likes this secret life but has doubts when Nadia's fiancée Ray, notices rope marks on her arms and her sister mentions red bruises on her rear end. Emma overhears them judging her lifestyle which makes Emma upset and when she speaks of this to Mr. Fredrick, he is quite upset and lets her know this. She informs him that she loves him but is not sure about this after hearing the opinions of her sister and her sister's fiancée. He is angry that she has allowed the opinion of others control her feelings.

She quits being his slave and helps Nadia plan her wedding. Emma apologizes to her sister for not be more supportive earlier but Nadia accepts it and says that she is happy and that is all that matters and no one can dictate what is right for anyone else.

Emma then goes back to Mr. Fredricks and they resume their master/slave relationship.

I enjoyed this movie so much I purchased it.

Wilson (1944)
Typical biography which rewrites history.
22 May 2010
Woodrow Wilson, was not a great President, was not a good President and was not even a good person.

The movie glosses over the fact that Wilson was a narrow minded, bigoted, sexist, racist jerk who dragged the country into a war it did not need to get involved in. His Justice department violated the civil rights and civil liberties of many Americans.

As for the League of Nations, its already been said that if not for his stubbornness, he might have gotten the Senate to ratify the treaty.

Finally, his most serious crime was staying in office after his stroke instead of resigning which would have been appropriate. The Vice President could not take the reigns without it looking like a power grab. Wilson placed the country in danger with his selfishness.

If the United States had been invaded or attacked or if there had been a serious crisis, the country was leaderless to handle it. That condemns Wilson and he does not deserve to be placed among the greatest Presidents.

The King (2005)
6/10
Very dramatic!
12 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I found this movie very fascinating and at the same time disturbing. I agree with some of the other posters who say it has many elements of drama like murder, incest, revenge, etc.

The main character Elvis served his country which is honorable and upon leaving the navy seeks out his biologcal father who is a preacher and not surprisingly, rejects him since he does not want his past to ever be revealed. Elvis's mom being Hispanic is probably the main reason for this action. One can see Elvis's pain at the rejection and he goes off to lick his wounds.

Instead of just leaving town as some would do, Elvis decides to seek revenge on the father by seducing his daughter who is also Elvis's half sister Malorie. One condemns him for this of course since his quarrel is with the father not with her. Their love scenes are both erotic and disturbing since they are half siblings. He does seem to care for her when she becomes pregnant and helps her get an abortion rather than deserting which I had thought he was going to do. Not that it erases this relationship not at all.

His actions become worst when he murders his half brother in cold blood.

One can see that the father, the mother especially, loves the son Paul very much. The daughter's relationship with the father is non existent as we see. He dotes on his son and his son only.

The father, either wanting to make up for his previous rejection of Elvis or he wants to replace his disappeared son, brings Elvis into their lives. Why the father does not wonder if Elvis had anything to do with Paul's disappearance is strange.

I hated the ending. Did not like Elvis killing Malorie and her mother and burning down the house. Not sure how I would have ended it though. Maybe with Elvis confessing his sins and killing himself, or telling Malorie and she turning him into the police, or the father killing him.

Anyway, this movie is does make an impression on the viewer. It certainly with me.

Vlad (2003)
8/10
Wonderful Movie!
1 December 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I very much enjoyed Vlad. What attracted me was first, I love horror movies and the actors who were in it such as Kam Heskin, Francesco Quinn, Billy Zane, and Paul Popowich each of whelm played their roles very well.

I love "Dracula" movies that give you a back story as to how he became who he would become. It helps the viewer to understand why he is who he is and that he is not just a one dimensional villain.

Circumstances beyond his control were the reason he would become Vlad Dracul. Francesco Quinn portrays Vlad very convincing as well as give you the person as well as the demon he has become. One can't help but feel empathy for him.

Kam Heskin, from Sunset Beach, plays Alexa Meyer, who becomes the object of Vlad's desire and he obsession to possess her which he does. She plays her role well as Alexa goes from being scared to being Vlad's slave. The viewer believes the transformation. The seduction scene was very well done. Not too much or too little. It was just right. On the DVD, they have an alternate ending which shows that Alexa still under Vlad's control and that she is no longer who she once was.

After Vlad kidnaps Alexa, her brother Jeff played by Paul Popowich goes to rescue her from Vlad's clutches. Along with him are the other companions who went along with them on this trip to Europe.

The fight scenes were very good and not at all cheesy as some horror movies can be. You could see the characters fighting to the death.

The other actors were just as good at playing their roles. The priest who tried to empathize with Vlad by understanding him was good even thought it did not work as he had wanted but he tried all the same.

It was a wonderful movie and I would recommend it to anyone who liked horror movies or Dracula.

Dracula 3000 (2004)
7/10
Very disappointing
24 December 2004
This movie was not as good as I had hoped it would be. I like Erika Eleniak and she looks great (must be body building). She was the reason I watched it. It had none of what one would expect of a vampire movie. There was no suspense, no action, and the premise made no sense.

Maybe if Dracula, came from a planet that was dying and he and a few vamps showed away on the ship to search for a planet like maybe Earth to re generate their kind. Just one vamp and a crew member turned into his slave was not enough for the rest of them to fear. More vamps would have been better. Also, a larger crew would have been nice. Not a hundred but maybe more than five people.

I would have liked to have seen more action and suspense and maybe romance. We did get it in the end however with Aurora.

I don't blame the actors as much I blame who ever wrote the script.

The end with Aurora and the remaining male crew member was OK.

I would give this movie a C.
