Nothing but predictable jump scares
12 April 2023
I really enjoyed this show and most of the episodes were good but this one was by far the most disappointed. It started off promising but went absolutely nowhere.

There was absolutely no creepy or scary factor apart from the cheap jump scares... take that out and it's literally just a show about two people watching birds.

The character development was never really explained. I thought the main woman was a Lesbian right up till the end. She had no interest in her boyfriend and preferred to chase chick's all day.

Overall it was a moderately enjoyable season but this final episode was a real let down. It was by far the most disappointing episode so far. I hope they scrap the director of this episode for season 2. Especially considering they had the longest runtime of the season and achieved basically nothing in that time in comparison to shorter episodes which successfully told a whole story.

RuPaul's Drag Race: Big Opening No. 1 (2022)

Mawma this is garbage.

Warning: Spoilers
You call playing guitar without it plugged in or skipping a talent? Coz I don't. I could do anything those queens did up on that stage. The runways were nice for the most part but nothing gag-worthy. I really hope part 2 is better coz this was even worse than the DRDU talent show. The only queen who really stood out was Kornbread, the rest were fillers to me.

Station Eleven (2021–2022)

Convoluted and poorly written

This show is just terrible. It had a good premise and showed some promise after the first episode. However, after making it through the 3rd episode (which really felt like a chore) I've decided to stop watching. The motives behind the characters choices seem to be not at all fleshed out and the dialogue in times is totally unrealistic and unrelatable. It's a shame because there are some good actors in this show that I've seen in other shows and they deserve better than this trash.

Pretty good show

Different. Funny. Moving. Great cast diversity. Entertaining to watch. Kind of chaotic and at times weird. I liked this show. Great concept. I hope they return for another season.

Queen of the Universe (2021–2023)

Good show but utterly unfair!

They call it Queen of the Universe but then half of the cast is American. It's obvious from the get-go that the producers want an American queen to win and that they are gonna be favored in the competition. They really should have only had 1 queen from each country. There are many countries that have good drag singing acts that aren't represented at all.

Black Mirror: USS Callister (2017)

Not the best... Not the worst
12 January 2018
This episode was... sound. I did find it slightly unbelievable that the boss and creator of a multi-million dollar business would allow himself to be so poorly treated (especially to the point where he allows the receptionist to walk all over him and play on her phone while on duty, or to the point where he obviously allows one of his staff members to humiliate and bully him). I think that for someone who was able to display such confidence in the simulation world, he would have at least been able to project some of this confidence to others. What would have been nice would have been if we could have seen how using the simulation had impacted on the captain over time (perhaps building his confidence to fire those who mistreat him at work in the real world). However, if you are willing to overlook some of the poor character building and behavioural floors then it is possible to enjoy this episode. Also, the ending is bad. No other way to put it.

Black Mirror: Crocodile (2017)
Season 4, Episode 3

Totally unbelievable
12 January 2018
The best stories in Black Mirror immerse the viewer in a near-future world that is perceivable but terrifying. From the very start of this episode there is no believability. The episode then seems to spiral into even more bizarre and ridiculous scenarios. Furthermore, the entirety of the futuristic premise of the episode is based around a small box that looks like it was developed in the 1990s rather than the future. Although most episodes of black mirror have some sort of moral or futuristic warning in them, this episode seems to completely lack this aspect. There are endless plot-holes in the story-line but the most obvious has to be the fact that the futuristic law enforcement has bargained all of their chips on a very flawed piece of technology that relies on subjective memories. The basic idea of this episode COULD have worked if they were to think about the collective technologies that futuristic police would use to catch criminals and if the main characters weren't so ridiculously portrayed and their actions weren't totally unbelieveable. Also, the actors in this episode are pretty terrible to be honest, especially the male protagonist who often does not pronounce words properly or speak clearly which makes him difficult to understand and some of his dialogue simply missed. I haven't seen the episodes past this one yet but I can't imagine them being any worse than this one. It really doesn't do the Black Mirror franchise any justice at all and should not have been included in the final season.
