The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000 TV Movie)
the worst movie made about an actress
13 September 2004
movie over bogie there's an even worse movie made about a Hollywood actor. JLH was totally miscast in the role. She doesn't even look like her. winona ryder or julia ormond would have even been better, my god the old woman from titanic would have been better. audrey was portrayed as a wear, dimwitted, bimbo who only felt satisfaction when she had the affection of a man. the movie wasted too much time on the first years of her life then on her later years. it should not have stopped at breakfast at tiffany's. the script was really bad like soap opera standard. i give this movie a 1 out of ten and I'm being nice. i just hope if there are as many movie made about audrey as marilyn they will get better cause god help us all if they get worse.

Dragged out but excellent thriller
30 July 2004
I think Katharine Hepburn's only appearance in a thriller is extremely good. She makes the film. I agree it could have been shorter but the exciting end sequence surely makes up for it. I think Robert Mitchum was miscast as the good guy but he still does an OK job. Robert Taylor is quite good and convincing in the villain role. they could have made a few more plot twists or paid more attention to the fact that Ann looked a lot like Sylvia and also about Taylor's mother. Also maybe Taylor could have killed someone else in the film who also suspects him like maybe Sylvia or Hepburn's father. All and all Hepburn's performance carries the film and I was really surprised how petrified she was of her husband, usually she's not scared of anyone.

An insult to The Thorn Birds
18 July 2004
This movie was really bad. It didn't make any sense. For instance in the original the first time Ralph sees Dane is when he is a teenager. The last time Ralph and Meggie saw each other before 1954 was Matlock Island in 1935. In the original Ralph tells Meggie its nearly been twenty years since we saw each other. Fee and Vittorio were really bad in the missing Years. Fee had no personality and Vittorio was really mean. Dane also had a strong Aussie accent compared to the original when it was a US accent. The only good thing about this movie was the score but again not as good as the original. They should of left the thorn birds alone. There was no point for a sequel to be made in the middle of a story we all know that Ralph dies. They should have made a new movie called the thorn birds: the next generations that takes place after Ralph's death.
