9/10
For all the art lovers
26 December 2012
The Last Lear is a movie i have seen with my friends and we all enjoyed a lot throughout the movie.I have seen many English movies, although this movie can't be called as English movie, the movie is bollywood movie but in English language as this movie can't be possible in Hindi or any other language as the movie is based on Shakespeare's play.Amitabh Bachchan, Priety Zinta,Arjun Rampal and all were very good in the movie.Amitabh Bachchan was at his best.Priety Zinta, another big star in the movie, can't explain her performance in words. She was too good. Unbelievable movie with lots of positive things.I advice all the art lovers, must watch this movie, surely you will love it.

I Am 24 (2010)

Watch it!
1 December 2012
You will not understand by reading the reviews about the movie, you have to watch it by yourself. The movie is mind blowing and nobody should miss it."I M 24" has some sparkling moments of reflected glory, as a bald and bland writer Rajat Kapoor takes lessons in spunky living.

The role of Shubendu,a 42years old man has been excellently played by Rajat Kapoor, who is an honest guy throughout his life until he meets Manjari. He is very well supported by Gagan, played by Ranveer who helps Shubendu to win over the young girl's heart. All this tricks and tips involves lot of lies and who better than Gagan to guide Shubendu.Excellent movie.

The Companion (2006)
8/10
Outstanding,especially after first half
22 November 2012
The companion, as it is also called in English, is a movie that can be watched number of times without getting bored. Rituparno has made a film that is pure, simple and beautiful. The story of the film is really nice and acting by Prasenjit and Konkona are outstanding, especially after first half.I would have really missed a brilliant film had I not seen this film. Prasenjit and Konkona play the role of Kaushik and Kaberi,a happily married couple until Kaushik's dark secret gets revealed to Kaberi after a serious accident.Kaushik meets a serious accident in which he is seriously wounded and another woman, who also was the other woman in his life other than Kaberi, named Mita dies.Kaberi is shattered to know all this and life becomes difficult for her.She is in a complete dilemma as whether to live with Kaushik or leave him after being betrayed. But the woman and above all the wife in her does not permit her to leave Kaushik alone. She lives with him, takes care of him and in the end both compromise and decide to stay together for the rest of their life. The movie has some brilliant scenes.Acting in the film by Konkona and Prasenjit are outstanding.Konkona has been a part of many Hindi films and we all know how gifted she is as an actress. But Prasenjit as Kaushik is brilliant in the film, especially after the accident. The mental trauma, the injuries and above all winning Kaberi's trust back were among the tough tasks and the way he acted is brilliant.I have seen few of his films and I would say he is a good actor. But Dosar for me is his best. A splendid film by Rituparno Ghosh. Hats off to the man for making a film such as this one.

Movie captures Delhi beautifully
21 November 2012
Those who had lived in Delhi and had seen the streets of Delhi will surely connect to this movie quickly. The movie is based on middle class family who tries to be happy with lots of struggles and adjustments.Although the story of the movie is very simple but contain lot of emotions as well as lot of funny moments throughout the movie.I used to live in Delhi from my childhood and may be that's why i can relate it to my own life,my own family. The way each and every scene presents the emotions in the movie was just awesome.I am very impressed with director Habib Faisal as he he captures Delhi beautifully and also lifestyle which middle class family live here.

Fairly lively subject
19 November 2012
Bollywood and its audience seems to be coming of age with the advent of managerial excellence in movie making. The success of the movie was closely related to the asceticism of the characters which portrayed the young minds and mischiefs related to their school life .First time director Prof. Arindum Chaudhury pulls it off convincingly with his technique of making the characters speak to the audience. The movie revolves around the rivalry between 2 schools Bharti and Valley High. DEV (YASH) and his group who are the center of humiliation for the spoilt brats of Valley high dudes , RANVEER and group. The songs being the highlight of the movie and the creation of veteran music directors left the audience wining the tunes of the movie .Suhana's roles, the woman behind Dev's success and inspiration was portrayed very intriguingly. The characters seemed fit in their respective roles and it was a intrepid attempt by the crew to come up with a fairly lively subject like "RSTRL".
