Love's Everlasting Courage (2011)
Great movie, elements that differ slightly with Oke's stories
I loved the way this movie shows how much we need each other, and how important family is. More so when there is a loss of a loved one! The importance of community, and sacrifice that is involved with true love, these are the lessons taught here. Like the author of the review, I wondered where Cassandra was, especially when Ellen's funeral took place. More importantly, I don't see how having the house on fire fitted into the story, because in "Love Comes Softly," Marty sees Ellen's picture & clothes-both which would've burned up in a fire. So those are the only 2 issues I see in this film, otherwise it is GREAT!
Jane Eyre (1983)
Best Version, great acting by MOST of the players
If all of the actors and actresses played their parts equally well, I would have given this a 10! The passionate acting on the part of Sian Pattendon for Jane as a child, was superb. Timothy Dalton played the part of Mr. Rochester as well as the George C. Scott version. Yet I disagree with many of the other reviewers on Zelah Clarke's performance. While I agree she did a great job in her acting, yet her personality seemed a little too sedate and not as passionate as I picture Jane Eyre. I've seen this story in 3 different versions, and this version was the best one I've seen! I wish they had cast an actress with a more passionate personality, and it would have been perfect.
