It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010)
Coming from a 15 year old who just saw her own life in a movie, basically
Let's start by saying that my English may not be the best but this movie may as well be the best. I have been wanting to watch this movie for quite a while now, but I've just kept putting it off. So two days ago I stumbled across this movie in the store and just bought it. I said to myself "sit down and watch the goddamn movie for the love of pizza". And I did. And now I'm just very angry with myself for putting it off for all this time and never watched it. Because I can honestly say that this may be one of the best movies I have ever seen. And despite my young age I have seen A LOT of movies. The whole time I was watching the movie I kind of felt like I was watching my own life on the big screen. I can see myself so clear Craig. He is confused and depressed and suddenly ends up in an adult psychiatric ward. Now I'm not saying that I myself have even checked in to a psychiatric ward, that's not the point. I think I love the movie so much because it stays true to how most of us teenagers actually feel. Again, I'm not saying all of us feel exactly like Craig, because no one is the same. But I can definitely understand how Craig feels and why he does what he does. To be honest I haven't quite figured out what to write in this review, so I think I'll stop rambling now. All I need to say is that this movie is definitely worth watching. I especially think that all of you who are parents to teenagers should watch this. You might get a look into how they feel. All in all, I loved the movie and strongly recommend to anybody. It's unique and touching. All I have to do now is go buy the book.
