So far!

Just saw the first episode and hoping the other episodes are just as good or I will he changing my ratings.

Great seeing the cast although unsure what has done to her face, looks very different.

Love it!

Different from what one is used to and despite all the violence which I am not usually keen in, loved every bit of it and talk about stellar cast. 👏🏽👏🏽

Where to Start!
29 June 2021
The title drew me in but found everything so high school. Main actress clearly loves being naked, touched and sucked by different men that this goes beyond acting as she ain't that good an actor. The storyline is so sparse I mean, even a nymphomaniac takes a break from thinking and or having sex. I guess the sex scenes were meant to be a distraction from the awfulness of the script and bad acting especially, from the Aussie guy (Brad) whom main character is dating in real life apparently having met on set last year. Guess it is a case of life imitating Art.

Predictable!

Tired of seeing Meghan and Michael in same type of roles, has gotten to point of being nauseating. Michael is a very good actor and should find better roles and Meghan, unsure of her acting skills as she has never displayed this beyond looking pretty and annoyingly naive. She should push herself in roles where she would be remembered for.

Loved All the characters but found Marnie very childish for her age and whilst her situation was understandable although not relatable, never knew one who was so self destruct. One of the other characters summed it up well when he said she was like Teflon as she had no understanding of when and where to be appropriate. Rather infuriating.

Unsure if bad Soap or Awful Drama!!
31 August 2017
Decided to watch on demand from Season 1. Could not believe in this day and age, anyone would write such nonsense!! The entire show is based on a black street girl Candace who seems to have a hold on everyone she meets especially the rich and famous, talking to them the way she pleases, rude and blackmails time and time again. Unsure which world Tyler Perry lives in where a common street black girl like Candace would have the gall to do all these things and nothing would have happened to her.

The entire story line is abysmal with a cast equally woeful. Unsure why Tyler used Tika Sumpter as the main protagonist as her acting chop is just not up to par for the role. As for the other characters, I am guessing this is the best gig they could get as cannot see anyone else hiring them other than for a bad soap opera. The character of Veronica Harrington was not bad although over did it on a number of occasions as well as Jim Cryer who was not bad also.

Tyler Perry clearly does not undertake research before writing as all these things can never happen. Examples being Candane walking up to secret service and shouting at them, sleeping with a judge and blackmailing him and getting away with it as well as sleeping with potential presidential candidate and filming him, Really!!

Purchasing homes worth millions with cash, a black woman with no job and discernible source of income, then the kicker, wanting to borrow on the mortgage and demanding money be in account that very day. A high school kid of today would not write such mess.

The entire show is so annoying and unbelievable you cannot believe an acclaimed writer like Tyler would put his name to such trite.

Superb Movie!!
7 March 2016
Unlike some of the other commentors, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie as it was like a reflection of mine and some of my closest friends lives. All successful professionals with our own angst and issues, trying to navigate these whilst still keeping true to ourselves. As girlfriends, we talk about these issues when we meet up and we all have our own strengths which each brings to the table and so each of us know who to turn to for certain advise. The storyline captivated me from start to finish and although I had not seen the play prior to the movie, I am glad I hadn't as I would have been making too many comparisons as we all do especially if one had read a book which was turned into a movie. The acting was superb by all and felt truly sad how so many exceptionally talented black actors get side-stepped for sub par actors. I have rated this film a 9 based on the storyline and great acting and directing. Kudos to Tyler who for once did well in a non Madea role.

Predictable!!
6 March 2016
Like all made for TV movies, you can almost write the entire storyline from start to finish just by watching the first 5minutes of it. I kinda knew what to expect but hey, it was a lazy winter Sunday morning and I was in no hurry to get out of bed and flicking through channels, saw this and watched. Linda Purl's acting was the only saving grace. The other characters lacked depth and I cannot believe how these writers always make the main characters seem so weak and simple and act all they have faced in a manner no person with an ounce of common sense would. Although there were some good scenes in parts thanks to Linda Purl's character, I think this formula needs to be reworked and even if the writer or Director wants a happy ending, they can still make the movie a true suspense from start to finish that when you get there (end) it should come as a surprise. It is for this reason I have given this movie a 3 star just on the basis of Linda's performance.

Awful is putting it mildly
26 February 2016
I do not mind feel good movies but this takes the cake!! What with the extreme weather conditions of past weekend, like most, was stuck at home bored when this movie came up and with nothing better on the menu, decided to watch half heartedly. Started okayish but predictable as most of these movies but still carried on. A trainer who worked as a baby sitter on the side. A 12yr old could have done a better job than the lead Daneele's character here and did not seem relatable as I could not believe a grown woman no matter her age, would be that idiotic especially, when looking after a child. I do not have a child but have seen and heard enough and most importantly, intelligent enough to know that you do not leave a child by the beach or in a park etc unattended. You get the gist. Feel good man gets the girl and everyone lives happily ever after but the reality is, you will have to be an idiot of a man to trust such an air-headed woman with your children. I have rated this movie a 1 as there was no redeeming feature in it.

Simple, Fun TV!!
23 February 2016
Found this show on a lazy Saturday when the weather meant we were going to be stuck at home all weekend. Flipping through channels, I came across this without thinking much of it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I read some of the comments and did not understand why it had some bad reviews as those of us who enjoy interior designing will find this a nice show to watch, seeing the transformation from shab to chick. Whilst 30mins cannot do it justice in detailing all the intricacies involved it is not that serious serious and see it as for what it is, a Simple, Fun TV!! Unsure why we need to write a minimum of 10lines as some of us are straight to the point but now I have had to pad my statement unnecessarily just to make the quota.

Getting into it
22 February 2016
Like most sitcoms, it takes some time to eventually get into it. I do not really have the patience of watching sitcoms until they are so many episodes in and then watch to catch up and get better understanding. As for those giving it a bad review, same could be said of every other sitcom on television. Everything does not and should not have a "microwave" solution to it. Story lines take time to come together and expecting any show to be a hit from the jump is unrealistic unless obviously, you are a child liking everything sweet from the start. It is beginning to come together and for this reason, I have given it an 8.

You cannot be serious!!
3 January 2016
Started off well but somehow unrealistic what with such a young Lawyer having eyes for a frumpy much older woman. Whilst their kids at 22yrs of age seem so sure about marriage having dropped out of college seems a far stretch on the imagination the shocker was despite this, both parents of said kids also have a thing for each other...........eewwww!! No matter the chemistry felt, the minute they discovered that their kids were sleeping together and preparing to get married should have nipped that relationship in the bud very quickly. It is totally inconceivable and sick on every level to think the children are married then the parents are dating or perish the thought, get married. I can just hear them with guests at the dinner table. Meet my stepson/son-in-law or meet my step-daughter/daughter-in law. Who comes up with these nonsense.
