The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
Season 1, Episode 3
10/10
Absolutely incredible piece of television.
31 January 2023
Beautiful story, stellar performances, brilliantly written, shot and directed. One of the best episodes of television. And I don't say that lightly. Nick Offerman has stepped up a million rungs- if that was even possible- the vulnerability he portrayers is both heart warming and heart breaking. Murray Bartlett brought both charm and humour to an objectively dark world. Pedro pascal still shines despite the relatively low screen time. But Nick and Murray- man.. they deserve every single award there is out there. Looking forward to see how the story unfolds and how they might top this episode- which mind you was only the third of the series!

Kapoor & Sons (2016)

An absolute delight! A must watch Indian movie!

A brilliantly written, directed, acted and edited movie that will resonate strongly with you-no matter at which end of the craziness spectrum your family behaves.

From the very first scene, all the characters feel extremely real in the way they talk, dress, address each other, laugh with or at each other or even taunt each other.

It feels like that character is you-or at least if not you it is someone else in your family. The director makes you feel like you are a part of that family and that sense of belonging makes you even more invested in those characters.

A real film full of raw, unadulterated emotions.

Mother's Day (I) (2016)

to call it average would be over-selling

don't get me wrong, i GET the movie is supposed to be a light, popcorn movie..your average clichéd chickflick...and i love them....somedays you just want a silly corny cheesy movie to put a smile on your face...

the problems is that it fails at even that...it is not a romantic comedy...it does not explore the parents-kid relationship beyond the whole "oh im a man i cant say tampon" cliché...it is not about friendship....i mean what was the point of even making this movie...

i love interconnected romcom movies...but this is just ..pointless...i have no other words to describe it..

and the only thing that was more horrible than julia roberts wig was the direction.
