About Adam (2000)

Awful
30 June 2023
I hate to say that about any movie by Kate Hudson, as she is among my favorite actresses, but this is a real stinker. For one thing, I can't take her faking the accent. It would have been better with an actual English actress in the role. That being said, I also hated the story. Honestly I couldn't even watch the entire thing. I finally gave up about halfway through. So no, I do not recommend this, as painful as it is for me to admit.

Having to write a minimum number of characters is just plain idiotic. Sometimes all a review needs is one or two words, to be honest. Okay. I absolutely hated this movie and would give is zero stars if I could.

Friends: The One with the Chicken Pox (1996)
Season 2, Episode 23

One of my favorites

Warning: Spoilers
I adore Friends and still watch them often.

To the person who said, "Why doesn't Pheobe go to her own apartment to have dinner with Ryan (Charlie Sheen). This has always annoyed."

Obviously, that person didn't actually pay attention. Phoebe tells Ryan that they can't go to her apartment because her Grandma never had chicken pox. Phoebe lives with her Grandma.

And, Phoebe didn't "go out with Ryan". She said that he emerges once in awhile, and they have an amazing 2-3 days together. But this time, they get 2 whole weeks.

I'd give this stinker zero stars if I could
24 November 2017
I've watched a lot of pilot episodes of shows I'm interested in, and they always tend to start out a little slow, sometimes even boring. But I figure a show sometimes can take awhile to find its voice, so I've always given it a chance, or at least watch the second episode to see if it's any better. This is the ONE time I've ever given up on a show halfway through the pilot episode. I did watch the whole thing, but it was painful. I have never, ever seen such a terrible beginning to a series. It's a shame because I love the cast and the story behind it, but they did not come close to delivering. It was the worst TV show I've ever had the displeasure of watching. Quite frankly, I'm shocked they even had a second episode.

Ridiculous
1 March 2017
I won't write a spoiler, but this is the most ridiculous, stupid, idiotic episode I've ever seen. Of any series. Trying to fit that into five lines of text is just as ridiculous. People shouldn't be forced to write a certain amount when giving a review. Some reviews only need one word. I don't recommend this episode to anyone. I swear, it lowered my IQ points.

16 Wishes (2010 TV Movie)

Awful

Such a spoiled brat. I was wishing her parents had spanked her. The cast was okay, but the acting was pretty bad. I wanted to see this because of Jean-Luc Bilodeau because he was so great in Kyle XY, but this certainly couldn't have helped his career much. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, but I generally really like high school movies and TV shows. But this is a stinker. Wow, 10 lines is a lot for bad movies like this. Without giving away any plot points, all I can really say is that it's a ridiculous movie with a great cast but a terrible script and bad acting. I won't waste my time watching this one again. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and I only hope Mr. Bilodeau will be more discerning in the future about the roles he chooses.

Wait a minute. Someone compared this to 13 going on 30? That's a pure insult to Christa B Allen and Jennifer Garner!

Disappointed
30 July 2015
The first two seasons were good. It started out somewhat slow, but it quickly found its voice. I ended up caring about the characters and what happened to them. The actors each played their roles to perfection.

Enter season 3. From the very 1st episode, I lost interest. Someone asked why so many don't like it, well it's because they have simply strayed too far from the original story line. I couldn't even finish watching episode 3 because it was so awful. It's completely disappointing. I would rather they canceled it after season 2, even with the big cliffhanger. Then, at least, I would care that it was canceled. Now I don't give a flying leap. I hope they do cancel it now before it gets even worse. Horrible.

This review thing it totally ridiculous. Sometimes it's impossible to write 10 lines, especially when a show is horrible. They don't want us to use "spoilers" well how many times can you say "IT SUCKS" and stretch it out for 10 lines???

Sort of a spoiler

Warning: Spoilers
I just wanted to mention one thing. Someone said that this movie didn't deserve 10 stars for "making the rape scene itself look too pleasant, going for soft-core porn titillation instead of the hard reality of violation." I wholeheartedly disagree with this assessment. I like that it was "softer" (if you can call rape "soft"!) because it just goes to show that rape is not necessarily violent. Every movie I've ever seen with a rape scene has been extremely violent, and this one is very good at showing that it's very often NOT violent. I like it because sometimes, someone can struggle with rape, wondering if it really was rape or not. If it's sex against your will, it's rape. Period. As difficult as it is to watch a rape scene, this could actually help someone who is struggling with this very issue. Very well done.
