"It's genetic isn't it? Mental illness. You can inherit it from your parents" *eyeroll*
17 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movies story and sensibility gradually fell apart after the cat scene.

The fact that the going theme afterward was mental illness - and coupled with the fact that the writers were boldly attempting to send messages via extremely unnatural acting that those struggling mentally (after trauma) should not be heard, considered, or defended in anyway by loved ones, made it even worse.

The movie was also missing key information which also made it appear as if not only mental illness, but suicide, is genetic, passed down and inherited and to shut those struggling down and abandon real support and love because, whatever they need to say or get out isn't of importance.

Trauma, mental illness and/or Suicide isnt some trait that those with the "cleanest" or "purest" genes can avoid. It can happen to anyone regardless of where you come from. It's atrocious that such messaging was even portrayed this way.

Decent

Unless you suffer from spats of existential dread (...wait. Everybody does). Then in that case, this movie is relatable yet depressing by end credits 🤣.

I'm really sick of these types of movies getting rated by friends, family, etc to mislead viewers/customersad
31 July 2022
I didn't even bother to rent this. I added to my watch list and after coming here to check the ratings/watching the trailer, I knew it was one of those films. Those that you can tell just from the trailer that it is low budget, odd acting, everthing.

This gets a 1 star from me because of the obvious misleading rating score. FYI to Director, producer, whoever: doing this does not help you. It rips your credibility apart. Start accepting real reviews from people you've never met and strengthen/grow your skillsets from it.

An interesting case, but series fails on keeping your attention
27 July 2022
This could have been a great series. The case itself is very interesting. Unfortunately it was poorly executed in a documentary series. It seems to trail off in the first part of the second episode.

Many are commenting/blaming Indias Justice system and policing for their low rating score - placing biase and cultural difference aside, regardless of a case like this, we have to be mindful and remember there are "failures" of justice in any part of the world; the ones in which we live are not superior. Every justice system is in a never ending journey of evolving and growing as our world changes.

Solid film, but incomplete
3 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is one of those types that makes your blood boil, just to have it cooled by innocents retaliating in the best way due to a corrupt university/college and the town it sits in. But, that is only 1/4 of the film. And it seems to completely cut off and go to credits. Leaving the viewer with no closure and no satisfaction. Thus my score of 5 (would have been a 6 based on your typical IMDB ratings you see for this type of film, which is near solid/great).

Postpartum Depression, screaming baby, child neglect swept under rug because, ghosts and happy record music.
26 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
To summarize: Postpartum Depression, a screaming baby 80% of the film. (Audience-is-lazily-made-to-think) that unsupportive husband is supportive and concerned for wife and child but gone most of film. Child neglect and probably abuse, turns out all to be okay because encounters with feral child ghosts (wanting to take baby because of abuse) and happy record music justifies everything because well, the mother "didn't mean to" and "hes mine".

Theres so much more thats added and makes no sense to the storyline.

NOOOOOO. NO NO NO.

Wait on this one until its free.

Warning: Spoilers
A tip to the director. It may be a good idea to LEAVE OUT the ONLY "climax" shot in the trailer.

It's plain lazy and downright manipulative to use it to lure potential viewers in, just to have THAT be it. A slow, bland buildup to an ANTIclimactic shot that has already been seen.

You want horrible reviews? Thats why you got horrible reviews. You're lucky you got 3 stars here.

Brightburn vibes, but with younger minds
17 May 2022
This movie was very unique. It gave me Brightburn vibes, but with younger characters and good vs evil elements. It is not for the faint of heart. It definitely has some disturbing scenes that may offend some viewers, but I feel the intention was to place realistic scenerios /traits that most do not see every day in young minds that are affected by bad/less fortunate upbringings.

I typically rate the most fantastic of movies a 8/10, but I chose a 7 for this one because of the slow tention build up, just to be disappointed with an anticlimatic ending. You expect something sooo much more epic and explosive. Either way, its worth a watch!

Shatters your heart strings
27 April 2022
A very intense show. It's unique that it interviews three people in each episode - be it a friend/family member from the side of the murderer, friend/family member from the side of the victim, the DA, law enforcement, any person you can think of whose lives were effected essentially.

The only thing that ticks about this show is the intro. Its beginning states "in (Date day year) in (City state), 3 peoples lives were changed forever. These are thier stories." I wish they would have chosen thier words more wisely with this. The aftermath of a tragedy reaches further than just 3 people. I cant like those lines and reading them in this show bothers me immensely.

Can the writers tell us where to find Haskel?
14 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
*Spoilers*

A few good creepy moments. But missing too much (including the mystery of the elusive cemetery caretaker) to be a solid horror film. Most of it is the main character wandering around a dense fog. It had potential. Wait until its free.

A series that sucks you in
14 September 2021
Each episode contains cases that immediatly suck you into the story. The first handful of episodes are interesting and contain great detail that most true crime fans crave. Unfortunately, it seems like they get a bit watered down with the last 2 episodes. Especially in the case of the two missing teenagers. Much information seems to be withheld or missing for viewers - which leave them tempted to simply google the case to get the rest of the details they are seeking and about the murderer and about what exactly happened to the cheerleaders.

Started out strong. Then suddenly turned into a B-movie. Did they run out of fs to give? Or money?
24 August 2021
Ill end by saying this. The main Actress. Her void facial expression the whole film could give Kristen Stewart a run for her money. I just couldn't. There was 0 connecting to her character. As much as they tried making her background "interesting" to the viewer.

Stop false crew/family member ratings
24 June 2021
Im almost sure the ratings that brought this film in the high 5's in the horror category were from crew members/actors and their family members. This movie is a solid 3, maybe 3.5 at best, giving it a 2 because of the false ratings. The storyline is mediocre, and the acting is 80% cringeworthy.

Kudos to new director's, actors etc in the learning process, but stop with the false ratings to gain views. It doesnt bring you any legitimacy or respect in the film world.
